Will there be more babies or divorces as a result of COVID-19?

I’ve been thinking quite a lot lately about both the long and short term effects of COVID-19, and, more specifically, our being asked to shelter in place for what could be months. I’m thinking about everything from the psychological implications for an entire generation of young people, to what this might mean for the future […]

With his cruel attack against Mika Brzezinski, Trump demonstrates that he can still go lower in his war against the American press

Yesterday, on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough commented on the fact that President Trump has a fake, framed Time magazine cover of himself hanging in over half a dozen of his golf resorts. My thoughts on the heat wave… Do we continue to sit in this pan of water as it begins to boil our flesh from our bones, or do we leap out, and go for the throat of the man holding the pan?

The last that I heard, over 4,500 communities had experienced record high temperatures this week. Apparently, streets are literally buckling in some places, like in St. Louis, where they’ve now surpassed the 100-degree mark for eight consecutive days. Several dozen people have died already and it looks as though the nation’s corn crop, among others, […]
