Admitting, “I don’t need to do this,” Donald Trump today declared a national emergency on our southern border. Then, just like any president might do after declaring a national emergency, Donald Trump left Washington for a golfing vacation in Florida.
When asked why he’d declare a national emergency instead of accepting the deal that had been struck between members of Congress, Donald Trump said, “I went through Congress. I made a deal. I got almost $1.4 billion… but I’m not happy with it.” He also said that he could have worked through the system (as it’s laid out in our Constitution), but he wanted to “get it done faster.” Oh, and when asked by a reporter where he gets his facts — the facts about illegal drugs and violent crime upon which he justified the declaration of a national emergency — Donald Trump claimed that he’d been referencing Department of Homeland Security data. According to the Washingon Post fact checker, though, he actually got them from cable television.
Here, for those of you who like real facts, based on actual data — and not just Donald Trump’s “emotional truth” — are three from Representative Ted Lieu.
Trump is declaring a #NationalEmergency to build a wall we don’t need to address a crisis that doesn’t exist! It's time for @POTUS to face the facts on this episode of #TruthWithTed. pic.twitter.com/TiE5DyQdsT

VLADIMIR PUTIN’S ADVISER TELLS AMERICANS: ‘RUSSIA INTERFERES IN YOUR BRAINS, WE CHANGE YOUR CONSCIENCE’
I thought it was interesting that this overt psyop came out the same time Agent Orange appears to be spinning outta control more than normal. Clearly cult45 brains are easily scrambled.

“I don’t have to say it,” said Trump, “but the Reichstag is on fire.”
What will it be next? Will we have a crisis of voter fraud that requires deploying the US military to polling stations everywhere to prevent suspicious people from voting? Every day this goes on, I become more and more worried that the US will go the way of Venezuela. It really doesn’t matter what you think about immigration, unchecked power is unchecked power. Nothing good comes of it no matter who you have in office.
Trump won’t leave office quietly. We have to expect that he’ll call more emergencies in the future, and have to expect that his successor will do the same.
My hope is that Congress will really work together on this one. The office of the President really does have too much power and everyone needs to consider what that means when someone you see as awful holds the position.
My hope is that Trump loses in 2020 and, because he doesnt actually like being president, he steps down non violently if not quietly.
I am very afraid for the future of this country but the Republican Party needs to be very afraid. I am not sure that young people will want to be a part of the party as it is now with Trump at the helm. Kids aren’t going to like him or his message. Why would they?
As a voting Republican, I can’t see how we can expect a sufficient level of support going forward.

Get ready for some desperate authoritarian shit people. Coincidentally? Dunham’s has a President Day special on a DPMS AR15 for $399. Thats probably the best of the bottom of the barrel new “modern sporting rifles” suitable for defending the Constitution from the Christo fascist propping up this abomination.
Or you could get a new mattress and curl up in the fetal position….
