[The quotes noted above are from British television cook Nigella Lawson, who was called on to testify in British court yesterday about a number of things, including her cocaine use. And the fellow at the bottom, for those of you who might not recognize him, is Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, who, like Lawson, has been fighting allegations of rampant cocaine use these past several weeks.]

Such a stupid comment from Lawson. I like her, but that needs to be called out.
Thing may take a much darker turn in the Rob Ford drug case. There are rumblings in Canada that the Mayor’s infamous crack tape could have led to the murder of alleged Toronto gang member Anthony Smith.

Imagine how much interesting Ypsilanti would be if one of our elected officials had a cocaine problem. Heck, I’d settle for a mayor with a speed problem.
Please people, it’s all scripted BS, Fake events.
UGGGGHHHH,,,
I remember you, Robert. You’re of the belief that no one was killed at Sandy Hook, and that all of those grieving parents were just actors. Are you suggesting now that Rob Ford does not exist? Is he just an actor? What possible reason would anyone have to fake his existence?
This is ridiculous. How do we know that, without the cocaine , she wouldn’t be 700 pounds?
Or for that matter, without the cocaine, Rob Ford could be an even bigger ass hole.
Life is pointless. Give up.
Nigella isn’t navigating this very well.
Peter Larson,
life isn’t pointless; just controlled and run by Scumbags for centuries.
Peter — Life is indeed pointless; that’s one of its better attributes.
You all disgust me.
Huh? Why would that disgust you?
That’s just the way Pete is, Doug. I’d like to blame it on the bacterial infection he got while taking blood samples of livestock in remote Africa, but, the truth is, he’s always been like that. As for the bacteria, he tells me that it’s all out of his system now anyway. (This bacteria, and I can’t remember what it’s called, causes its hosts to grow depressed to the point of engaging in suicidal behavior. That’s apparently how it spreads. It makes animals not run from their predators, thereby spreading to those predators, or something along those lines. It’s terrifying stuff. But, as I said, it doesn’t really explain Pete’s comments now.)
I spit in your food yesterday, Mark.
I didn’t, really.
Brucellosis is only a small problem in the U.S. You should all be afraid of cats.

Yes, it was Brucellosis. (I remember that it sounded like BruceWillisOsis.) Pete said there are only about 100 cases a year in the United States. It’s pretty common in Africa, though, especially among vets, many of whom take their own lives due to the depression.
I thought you’d be interested to know that Rob Ford isn’t coming to Ann Arbor for the Winter Classic. He made it official yesterday.
