That Newsweek cover of Michele Bachmann could have been a hell of a lot worse

Does anyone remember how, when Obama first entered office, the Tea Partiers were outraged that he had the audacity to enter the Oval Office in short sleeves? If you’ll recall, they were absolutely beside themselves, calling it “un-Presidential” and an affront to the office of President. I’m curious as to what these same folks will have to say about this photo of Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann at the Iowa State Fair.

Who knows… maybe this photo-op was done purposefully in order to raise Larry Flynt’s interest. It was his work on Palin’s image, after all, that made her iconic. Maybe Bachmann wants the same treatment.

[The photo is from the UK Telegraph.]

What’s sad about this for me is my first thought was, “Wow I’ve never seen a corndog that long before and I wonder how good it tastes.”

I like the guy in the bottom left. You know exactly what he’ thinking. And I suspect the only think keeping Flynt from doing a porn parody of Bachmann’s life is the fact that she has a gay husband, and Hustler draws the line at gay (male) sex.

  4. Posted August 13, 2011 at 6:40 pm | Permalink

And here’s more on the Marcus Bachmann gay stuff, for those who are unaware.

And can someone photoshop Ron Jeremy or someone of similar ilk lying across the bottom? Hitler maybe? Who else would Bachmann be blowing? WWBB?

    From the New Yorker:

The leased, fourteen-seat corporate jet was to serve as Bachmann’s campaign hub for the next few days, and, before the plane took off, her press secretary, Alice Stewart, announced to the six travelling chroniclers that there was one important rule. “I know everything is on the record these days,” Stewart said, “but please just don’t broadcast images of her in her casual clothes.” …

After we landed in Des Moines, an aide handed Bachmann a copy of that morning’s Des Moines Register. She swung around to face the press, displaying the front-page headline: “ROMNEY, BACHMANN LEAD REPUBLICAN PACK.” It was a perfect shot. The members of the press looked at her cargo pants and then at one another. Nobody took a picture.

Welp, good on the obedient press. Michelle wasn’t wearing casual clothes in the corndog photo … I’m guessing Alice has since come up with a new rule: “I know everything is on the record these days, but please no pictures of her with a dick in the mouth.”

It’s a picture of someone eating food. Gheesh. Is every picture of someone eating a hot dog, corn dog, ice cream pop, etc etc pornographic?

I was with ya, until you went juvenile.

Well, to answer the first commenter’s question, girls only look like that when they are really, truly stuffing a huge cock way far down their throat.
Or a guy has his hands behind her head helping her out a little.
I think she looks kinda cute.
As long as she is making eye contact every now and then, I give her a thumbs up.

The important thing is that it worked. Bachmann won the Iowa straw poll.

  14. Posted August 14, 2011 at 8:00 am | Permalink

Ron Paul came in a close second, who has zero chance of getting the nomination.

These straw polls are really just sounding boards for the most extreme of candidates. It’s pretty meaningless.

There is going to be the need of “more Tea” for the 2012 elections. This last debt ceiling bill proved it. We do not need to complain but instead we need to start our recruiting for more members and get our message out that we are for smaller government and fiscal responsibility with a balanced budget.

The New American Tipping Point has arrived:

Please let your voice & opinions be heard and join the following Tea Party websites to become part of the movement in taking our country back from liberal/progressive left wing loons who are destroying capitalism and the Free Market System that has built this great country:

Although I’m more interested in dissecting the meaning of the relatively tiny metal phallic, held by a rather taught (marital?) chain, to the left of her cheek, I will say that how candidates approach wieners is an extremely valid political consideration.

Especially when you consider the crazy eyed bullet we dodged.

I could spend the night putting up links to politicians eating hot dogs, but there’s far too many, and I would test kind reader’s patience.

I’ll just offer that if you have a few hours for images, simply insert your favorite politician/celebrity name plus (+) hot dog and enjoy!

    It is so amusing.

P.S. After hours of research, I’m pretty sure this is as close as Mitt Romney has ever come to a boiled frank.

P.S.S. All the above links are SFW. They are just photos of humans clumsily eating meat.
