sick day with tivo

It’s snowing outside. It’s been snowing all day. I shoveled after the first foot was on the ground, and that was a dozen hours ago. There’s a lot more now. I’m just waiting until it stops before I go out and shovel again. I’ve spent the whole day just waiting… Aside from shoveling, I haven’t done much, other than play with the baby and watch TV. I finally watched “Seabiscuit.” I liked it. I cried twice. (I’m a sentimental pussy.) Now, I’m getting ready to watch Christopher Walken and The Rock in “The Rundown.” I meant to mention it right at the beginning, but I still have my cold. I thought that it would be gone by today, but it got worse instead. It’s good to be sick every now and then though — it causes me to lay here on the couch and go through the Tivo archives, and clean it out… Among other interesting things, I found that Tivo had saved us an episode of Martha Stewart’s show called “folding a towel.” I’m tempted to watch it out of curiosity… One last thing, I just found out that Columbia House, the company that will send you a dozen CDs for a penny (if you agree to buy stuff from them for the rest of your life) is branching out into porn… The next time I get sick, maybe I won’t have to watch Martha Stewart fold towels.

For some, watching Martha towels may indeed be porn. There are no limits…remember this?

Good point, Cory. I wonder if people would buy a video entitled “Nude Towel Folder” it if it were offered by Columbia House.

I wonder if Martha will do a show on how to fold a shirt when she gets out.

Not sure why you would want to buy “shirts to fold” from their website, but the shirt origami clip is hypnotic.

I hope you don’t have what Steve and I are getting over, Mark. Sore throat the first day, unbelievably sick for 4 days. I’m still sick and it’s been over 2 weeks.
