This very well might only mean something to the four people who were in the band Prehensile Monkey-tailed Skink, but I felt like sharing it… Yesterday, while I was in the car, I got a call from Linette. She said that shed just seen an article in a local paper that mentioned the band, one of my first, a band that had broken up over a decade a year ago after releasing three 45s and playing a handful of live gigs. According to Linette, the author of this piece had never seen us play live, but had heard our records. He said that our existence proved to him that Ann Arbor had a significant musical history. Seeing the name Skink on the same page as the phrase significant musical history is not something that I ever thought that Id see in my lifetime. It boggles the mind, but yet there it is. One day, Ill sit down and tell you the story of Skink and the special brand of music that we made. I may even post some MP3s Get ready, kids, historically significant music is on the way.
OK, I’m going to get back to working on Crimewave now.

Where was this from? Can anyone identify it?
I wrote it. I think it was in the short-lived Ann Arbor Paper, but I’m not certain.
