The cool thing about not running for president is that you can clobber the dicks who are working against the guy who is…without it looking wrong.

Back in 2004, a neo-con buddy of mine, repeating mindless drivel he picked up from Faux News, said to me he thought Kerry was an ok guy but in his view hasn’t accomplished anything. I then asked this ol’ buddy of mine, who had the ambition of being in law enforcement, if he didn’t think that being the primary force in breaking up the largest money laundering operation in human history was any kind of accomplishment. He didn’t say anything in response…just sat there with a dumb look on his face. I asked him again if that would be considered an accomplishment in his world. Then, after asking HIM a few other more simple questions I realized he never even heard of The Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI). You can imagine the rest of the story.

I don’t know what your specific problems with Kerry are, but I think I could make a few good guesses. I’m glad you are softening up on him a little now, ’cause I haven’t been looking forward to delivering upon you the inevitable barrage of I-told-you-sos once you get into elected office. Anyway, thanks for posting this clip. That barrage won’t be as brutal now. I’ll be softening that up accordingly.
