Dude, Drew and Jimmy Fallon came by my place today, we hung out. They’re partying into the wee hours tonight (on film), and will be filming again tomorrow afternoon too.
If you come by (and can get past the police barricades, the guards, and the gatekeepers), Don’t Walk On My Grass! …and Don’t Leave Crap Behind When You Leave!
This message is brought to you by the group Neighbors of Drew Who Appreciate Filmmaking But Not Messy Visitors (NoDWAFBNW).
ps Don’t bring your dog – Drew’s crew doesn’t like dogs (especially the sound guys).
lots of light and glam over there on summit. great entertainment on an august night in ypsi! i can hear the kircher backyard party being filmed over here on normal st.; it is reminiscent of real live ypsi parties and the beep, beep, beep of the boom truck is like monday morning trash pick up.
I’m currently cleaning out my old apartment on S Summit (I wants all my security deposit back) and had to breathe in the diesel fumes from the ginormous generators on the lighting truck all evening. My downstairs neighbor complained to them and the guy told him “Hey, I’m from California– this isn’t any worse than the smog there”. Apparently he also said that they would turn them off at 2 a.m. (before starting up again at 8), but I just left at 3:45 and the place is still lit up as bright as day. It’s loud, too. Word is some folks bordering the set got some compensation, but not us. Luckily I can sleep in my new place.
[The last two comments – one from a Drew Barrymore impersonator, and the other from a person pretending to be said impersonator – have been removed at the request of one of the parties. At least I think that’s what happened.]

It’s been closed almost all day, I think. It was around 1:00, anyway.

Midtown is now OFFICIALLY the coolest Ypsilanti neighborhood in our Cool City. We’ve got Drew. We’ve got Jimmy. And you don’t!

I saw her knit her eyebrows and burst a production assistant into flames.

So, how much would a “Keep Drew Barrymore out of Ypsi” poster signed by Drew Barrymore go for?
No shit? Really?
The only way to tell for sure is to put it on Ebay.
they’re filming at the wolverine restaurant today. I live next door.
Drew’s gone (from Midtown)… :( She left in the wee hours, I woke this morning and she was gone…….. I feel a little dirty.
…like 5’3″ sexy blonde Godzilla.

No, it was a hypothetical question. If the value was enough, I’d go all ninja to sneak past the cops blocking off the street to go get it signed.
Alas, my dreams of Hollywood-funded glory shall have to wait for some other day.
Now they’re on the streets east of Prospect. A trailer for “Carl” is parked outside my door.
A buddy of mine and I stumbled upon Drews Crew as they pack up across from the Elbow Room tonight from a late evening of filming
I heard a report that the Elbow Room crew partied with the movie crew late into the night last night.
