Lately, you may have experienced problems accessing the site or sending us email. I offer my apologies and believe I’ve finally isolated the problem.
It started when Taiwanese corporate spies stole the secret formula for the electrolyte material inside electronics capacitors. Apparently, they failed to get the entire formula and as a result, millions of poor-quality capacitors have turned up in consumer electronics, including computer motherboards.
Until Sunday afternoon, the server that powers this website had a Gigabyte GA-7VA motherboard running the show.
Over the past months the server displayed a variety of vague problems, including becoming unresponsive for unknown reasons. After replacing suspect hard drives, memory, and a power supply, one of my colleagues suggested I check for bulging capacitors.
After spotting these, I’m amazed it would even boot.
Sunday I replaced the motherboard, so if things seem a little snappier, it’s because of the 2.8 GHz Celeron D replacement.

Don’t listen to him. It was a Golem made of ball hair that tore the system down.
Do you have photo-evidence?
It was maple syrup drippeg from Mark’s nose, eyes and ears!
If anyone wants to be in my new band, Ball Hair Golem, I’ll be practicing in the basement. Just knock on the window.
And thank you for posting this heartfelt apology, Mr. Cherry. In the spirit of Jesus Christ, I have decided to forgive you and/or turn you into a pillar of salt. (You’ll have my decision by Monday.)
’! wtf, that was supposed to be cured!
Cherry, did you get Oedipal with the motherboard?
Yeah, after I figured out what happened I gouged out my eyes and started wandering the land in darkness.
