I know we’re cutting it a bit close, but Linette just put my collection of “My Life in Ypsi” comics up on PayPal, so, if you want a copy, and order today, you should have it before Christmas. I’m not the most objective person in the world when it comes to my comics, but I think it’s pretty safe to say that they are, for the most part, legible (except for where the tears have made the ink run). Seriously, it’s a good collection and I think that it would make a fine gift. Order today.
update: The resolution isn’t great, but I’ve just put up a pdf of three strips, in case you’re interested in checking it out before handing over the money.

Mark’s right: his cartoons really are wonderful.
In the Amazon.com review tradition, allow me to say…
This is a great comic!
My wife and I purchased this comic at Shadow Art Fair no. 1 and each of us (me first) read through the thing in one sitting.
It has so very many moments that made us laugh out loud–quite a few of these; moments that touched our hearts; and moments in which we saw our own fears, failures, insecurities, obsessions, neuroses, and fucked-up ways of looking at the world writ and drawn back to us in this lovely little book.
Screw Dr. Phil; pick up a My Life in Ypsi and save the several-hundred dollar consultation fee. $5? Indeed. Do it!
Yep – I have this, and he’s not lying. It’s great.
If I can figure out how to do it, I’ll post a link to a scan or two tonight so that you can get a feeling for what they’re like.
And thanks for all the kind comments, folks. That’s nice… It makes me think that I should start making them again, even if I don’t have somewhere to run them (now that the “Ann Arbor Paper” is out of business.).
No thanks. I will wait for the post-x-mas fire sale. I never pay more than $2.50 for something I can read in one sitting. Which is why I love this blog.
Do you stand outside of the businesses on Michigan Ave suggesting that people not shop there as well, Ol’ E Cross?
Now why would I pay half-price for something from a local business, when I can wait I can get it for a third of that in their February going-out-of-business sell?
Jeez Mark. You’ve got a lot to learn as a consumer.
I hope for your sake that you never put your house on the market. I have all kinds of great ideas.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: “My Life in Ypsi” should have made you a superstar, Mark. (All right, I know, you already are a superstar.) I’m glad you’ve got this book out, and I hope you find another outlet for some new ones.
I want a copy in fact I might order two.
If what I’m experiencing is superstardom, I feel very, very sorry for the rest of you.
And thanks for the orders that have come in so far. The money will go a little way toward offsetting our massive screen printing bill.
Actually, I just realized I already have this but it’s so good it’d be worth it to own an extra copy.
