it’s all happening at the zoo

At the Tulsa zoo, near the elephants, they have a statue of Ganesha, the Hindu elephant god. I’m sure someone years ago thought that it was pretty cute. What they probably didn’t consider, however, is the possibility that an evangelical Christian group might one day cite it as a precedent giving them the right to place a Creationist display on the grounds of the zoo. But, that’s exactly what’s happened, and now it looks as though the zoo’s board is clearing the way for its installation… One wonders how long it will take the Scientologists to start demanding room for a statue of the evil intergalactic dictator Xenu surrounded by a field of Body Thetans. (Thanks to Collin for the tip.)

Where’s Dr. Doolittle? Someone needs to ask the animals what they believe. Of course this might just be a missionary attempt to convert the animals to christianity, noone wants to see lemurs worshiping pagan gods.. Reminds me of last years christmas special of south park.. think it was called “blood Orgy” or something.
