I like the idea of being waterboarded with gravy.

People really took the time to dress well back then, even for casual activities. I think we lack that these days.
And also remember that Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, is Buy Nothing Day. While many look upon that day as their chance at a true shopping orgy, Buy Nothing Day’s intent is simply there is more to life besides consuming.
One of the main proponents of Buy Nothing Day is Reverand Billy, who is the “minister” of the Church of Life After Shopping. Through lots of humor, and direct action, Reverand Billy and his flock has a statement of purpose of being a “New York based arts organization using theater, humor, and grassroots organizing to advance individuals and communities towards a more equitable future - starting today. They partner with citizens, grassroots organizations and progressive visionaries to produce dynamic, informed public campaigns that enact our core values - participatory democracy, ecological sustainability, and the preservation of vibrant communities and local economies.”
