the cat killer cashes out

This comes from Business Week:

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, a potential presidential candidate in 2008, sold all his stock in his family’s hospital corporation about two weeks before it issued a disappointing earnings report and the price fell nearly 15 percent.

Frist held an undisclosed amount of stock in Hospital Corporation of America, based in Nashville, Tenn., the nation’s largest for-profit hospital chain. On June 13, he instructed the trustee managing the assets to sell his HCA shares and those of his wife and children, said Amy Call, a spokeswoman for Frist.

Frist, for those of you who don’t know, was also in the practice of adopting cats from the Humane Society when he was younger, for the purpose of killing and experimenting on them… And, it’s also worth noting, when he’s not torturing animals or profiting for insider trading, he’s a leader of the so-called “Christian values” movement.

Isn’t it ironic that the cloak of “Christian Values” can be used to obscure the activities of such an evil, immoral, cold hearted, opportunistic fuck?

    He’ll make a great president.

The thought of him being torn apart by a herd of rabid calicos (while serving time in prison) brings a smile to my face.

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) – Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, a potential Republican presidential candidate, is reportedly being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission for the sale of stock of HCA, the giant hospital company founded by his family.

HCA (Research) issued a statement Friday that it received a subpoena from the office of the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York for the production of documents. It said it believes the subpoena relates to the sale of HCA stock by Frist, and it added it would cooperate with authorities.

The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and other publications reported Friday that a Frist spokesman confirmed the senator from Tennessee also was contacted about the stock sale.

I plan on telling everyone I know about the cat-torturing (I’ve never heard that before).

So just so I can back it up, can you link me up to any sources?

It’s in his 1989 book: “Transplant: A Heart Surgeon’s Account of the Life-and-Death Dramas of the New Medicine.” Just for correction, it wasn’t torture, but surgical practice. But, ailurocide was the result. Since the death wasn’t premeditated, it should probably be referred to not as cat murder, but as catslaughter (clearly a better word than torture).

Shanster- Just to clarify. Where did this surgical practice take place? Cause if it was the family garage, tree house, or the work bench in the basement it was not “surgical practice”. Would his “surgical practice” not need to be under the oversight of some type of academic setting? If he was a kid, and they were not, wouldn’t his “surgical practice” be something more of a predisosition to serial killing?

    Just asking.

    Don’t think this helps…but…

My college roommate was pre-med and kept cats in the freezer. Not sure why they ran out of space at the school. Autopsies on cats were pretty common. What’s scary is the fact that he’s now a doctor (or was, his family is in and area that no longer exists in Louisiana).

Hmmm….. I don’t suppose that “cat” could be code for “prostitute.”

I guess it was done while he was a student at Harvard Medical School. He probably just used the dorm kitchen.
