Remember how, a couple of days ago, we were talking about that new book on Area 51, and it’s bombshell revelation that Nazi scientists made tiny, alien-looking people for the Soviets after WWII, and then launched them into the side of a bluff in Roswell, New Mexico? Well, the author of the book, Annie Jacobsen, was on the Daily Show last night, talking about that claim, which she attributes to an anonymous source. According to said source, the Soviets have done this in order to breed paranoia and uncertainty in America, gain a psychological edge in the process.
While fascinated by the idea, I, like a lot of you, find it unlikely that the Soviets would attempt this in 1947, before the Cold War really started heating up. And, if they really had flying saucer technology, I think it’s doubtful that they’d crash a ship on purpose, allowing the technology to fall into our hands. I suppose, however, that it’s possible that the ship was never meant to crash, and that the pilots were made incredibly small, not to scare us, but just so that they could fit in the ship. At any rate, here’s Annie Jacobsen being interviewed by Jon Stewart. Enjoy.
