We just got done hanging the first show at the Landline Creative Labs micro-gallery. [It’s in the small space that our wheelchair lift opens into.] Thanks to Jason Wright and Jim Cherewick for contributing work. [Jason’s work is on top. Jim’s work is below.] Having helped hang a few art shows in my day, I can’t tell you how fun it is to have such an incredibly small space to curate… If you’re ever in the building, stop by and check it out.

Awesome! Jason Wright! Jim Cherewick! Go team swipple!
If anyone reading this, Mark included, would like to be a judge at the 2017 “Original and Authentic Shadow Art Fair”, which will be held July 20-23 in Canton, Michigan, please respond below by writing insightful captions for the above photos.
Very Nice. Can’t wait to see it.
Excuse me but how is this not gentrification?
This needs to be brought before committee.
Iron Lung, not bad! But which caption goes with which photo?
Oh. Not captions, maybe. Is the first a rhetorical question? My Socratic answer would be, “does it depend on whether rentier capitalism is Mark’s occupation, or just a hobby?”
Thank you, Grandma! It will be the best Shadow Art Fair ever!
You should have a Yoga event so the radical washtenaw people can show up and stage a protest.
There will be “sip, stretch, and sketch” event at the 2017 Shadow Art Fair in Canton, which combines wine, yoga, and drawing. Everyone is welcome. Ypsi radicals especially. We aim to build bridges, not walls.
I have been priced out of a lot of places in my life, but have never developed a hatred for yoga.
There is a credible rumor that the Shadow Art Fair will be held next Thursday in the secret sub basement of the Bellflower Restaurant. It is said that only a limited number of tickets will be issued and to get one you must order a $17 off-menu cocktail at the bar. Ask for a Bloody Hillary with a drop of adrenochrome, and keep your napkin. Your ticket is printed on it in invisible ink. Bring your cryptocoin wallet because some credible people are saying very strongly there will be an NFT art auction, which will include a limited edition of this beloved Mark Maynard portrait: https://images.app.goo.gl/7j8zLMGMhMLRr6uK9
