Mark, you raise an important question regarding the power of footwear in political activism. Obviously, the cork filled Birkenstock has very little persuasive appeal when compared to the traditional cowboy boot with spurs.
Sure, the left has the steel toed work boot but I’d rather get hit with that over a pair of jagged golf cleats.
I’ve noticed how much more popular Obama’s black half is over his white half. I wish the Washington Examiner would have broke their poll down to that level, asking people to rate Obama’s black half’s performance and then asking them to rate his white half’s. This is all very valuable information.

From now on, I’m wearing these. Or theseon summer days.
Look out city council. Papa’s got a brand new pair of shoes.
For those who are interested, there’s also a good interview with Obama in the New York Times.
Rather throw a hotdog down his hallway, huh?
Washington Examiner:
Obama’s “sky-high ratings among African-Americans make some of his positions appear a bit more popular overall than they actually are.”

I guess African-American opinions count less. 3/5?
