A few days ago, the folks at Dreamland Theater put on a shadow puppet version of the popular television show, America’s Next Top Model. A friend of mine, risking her life, smuggled a video camera in and shot this footage. I plan to spend the weekend trying to make sense of it.

Ooops … this is NOT Beezy’s? Sorry. Just wanted a coffee. See’ya. Thanks.
The entire ANTM puppet project was incredibly fantastic! I went to the America’s Next Top Model puppet shows when they were shown in installations on Tuesdays… needless to say, it was a wonderfully silly way to spend an evening. Hats off to Carrie and the rest of The Dreamland crew for their efforts.
In other recent Dreamland News, the 2008 Buff Wizard Calendar is now officially on sale at the theater. The calendar features fourteen of Ypsilanti’s HOTTEST WIZARDS doing so cool things that Wizards do. The cost is $15.00 and all proceeds go to keeping Ypsi’s Weirdest theater in business. Personally, I cannot think of a better Christmas gift.
I thought that I was imagining it, but we do have an inordinate number of buff wizards here in Ypsi, don’t we?
Did we ever determine which girl on the show was portrayed by the wig-wearing hammer?
Did anyone check the pulse of the giant silhouette head in the lower left? Watch it. It never moves. It’s a wig on a stick. I’m pretty sure the entire “audience” is shadow puppets, which almost makes the whole thing delightful.
