I’ve got tons of shit that I want to talk about tonight, like Bush’s “Cowboy diplomacy” and the fact that we’re now apparently actively recruiting not only gang members but Neo Nazis to serve in the American armed forces, but there just isn’t time. There’s too much going on.
Fuck, I just realized that I don’t even have the time to tell you about the “midget Elvis” that appeared at this year’s Elvisfest, or the photographic evidence that Leighton’s provided in evidence of his claim that there was indeed a giant gorilla at a recent anti-abortion rally down the street. (According to Leighton there was a pregnant woman inside the gorilla costume and she spent most of the morning holding up a “honk if you love porn” sign.)
Speaking of the weekly abortion rallies on Michigan Avenue, I just realized that I also don’t have time to point you toward what I think is a pretty well-done YouTube interview with the guy who holds up the billboard-sized photo of the foetus’s severed head. (I haven’t made it all the way through the interview yet, but, from what I’ve seen thus far, the guy comes across pretty well. Seriously, I didn’t dislike him nearly as much after hearing his chat with the interviewer, even though he was waving a bloody, decades-old photo that was snapped after a procedure that’s not even done any more, in front of children.) (Thanks to Brian Hunter, by the way, for pointing me toward that interview, and to Andy Claydon for rubbing my nose in the fact that I’d missed my chance to see a midget Elvis.)

Lynn, executive director of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State. “They are living in this fantasy world where the majority religion, Christianity, is claimed to be literally under attack.”

Oh, and if I had the time, I’d also tell you that our two most famous visitors to MM.com have new projects under their belts. Fortean researcher, musician and man-about-town Mr. Doug Skinner has a new article in “Fate” on San Gennaro and other blood relics and a rather thoughtful piece in the “Fortean Times” on the touching friendship between Charles Fort and Theodore Dreiser, and adult film actress Kami Andrews has just released “Who Let the Whores Out 2,” the long awaited sequel to “Who Let the Whores Out.” To my knowledge, Doug and Kami did not coordinate these releases so as to be simultaneous. (Actually, I don’t think that Kami reads this site any more. And, after this post, I doubt that Doug will either. Goodbye Douglas, my old friend. And best of luck to you, Kami, wherever you are.)

If I’m not mistaken, the question as to “Who Let the Whores Out?” was answered quite sufficiently at the end of the first film.
It does BURN MY MIND that those dumb RELIGIOUS folk are alwys crying that religion is under attack when IN FACT it’s a much more powerful force in this country than it has been for about FIFTY YEARS! AND NOT A FORCE FOR GOOD but for intolerance, hate and war! (Man, am I het up today!)
Kami and I didn’t plan this. But we’re both turning out so much quality entertainment for the American consumer that it’s bound to happen sometimes.
