One of our favorite local non-profits, Growing Hope, is having a fundraiser this Sunday afternoon at Ypsilanti’s Corner Brewery. So, if you’re planning to be drinking ayway, why not do it for a good cause? Seriously, they do great work – helping local people to improve their lives through gardening – and they deserve your beer money.
The event will take place on August 26th from 3:00 to 5:00. Tickets are $20 per person, which includes beer tasting (read “open bar”) for two hours, plus appetizers. Tickets won’t be sold at the door. You can, however, buy tickets online from Growing Hope (at the bottom of the page). Or, you can call them at 734.786.8401.

I’m waiting for an opportunity to take qualudes for a good cause.
hoping hoping hoping some of you bazillion readers (and i know a lot of you drink beer, and at the corner brewery– i’ve seen you there!) will come out and support our little beer tasting. really, folks, you get a lot of beer (basically whatever you can get down you in 2 hours) PLUS appeitizers for $20. but, the way it works you can’t get just come at the door– you can pay us there but have to be on our advanced list…. so drop a line to info@growinghope.net and sign your beer-drinking self and a friend up, or go ahead and pay online at http://www.growinghope.net, or call us at 786-8401– by FRIDAY. oh, and we’ll have our entire growing hope t-shirt stock with us (we’re getting low on some colors and sizes), so this would be a good time to bring some moolah and get yours.
oh and thanks mark for making the plug!
I was happy to mention it, Amanda. And, I’d be there myself if not for an emergency meeting of the Ypsilanti 2020 task force. Believe me, I’d rather be drinking beer than writing grants… I hope it goes well.
