Curious how many teachers we could have hired for what’s already been spent in Iraq? Check out Cost of War dotcom?
The last time I checked, it was 2,945,222.
And, perhaps more importantly, as reader Terry Gilmer points out in the comments section, it’s 212 million copies of the magazine Barely Legal.

If it would get us that many teachers, just think of all the Oxycodone and issues of Barely Legal that we could have had.
I’m not sure what the street value of OC is but we could have bought more than 212 million copies of Barely Legal. That reminds me, I need to renew my subscription.
If only John Kerry had been able to put it in those terms.
Does anyone know where to find a grand total for the money we spend on welfare?
I’d love to be able to compare and contrast the two – “welfare” is such a hot-button for many people…
