Conversation about my last post led readers to speculate as to how Stalin’s scientists went about attempting to create an ape-human hybrid in an era before in-vitro fertilization. (The general consensus seems to be that some hot human-on-gorilla love was taking place somewhere in Siberia.) That conversation then, inexplicably, took a turn toward the direction of Brokeback Mountain when someone suggested that there be a film made about the taboo love that blossomed between a cowboy and a gorilla. (We all know, after all, that gay marriage will undoubtedly lead toward interspecies marriage.) On a whim, I decided to do a search for Cowboy & Gorilla images. These are the best two that I found. I thought that they made a beautiful diptych.
