“We had no domestic attacks under Bush”

A couple of months ago, when former Bush press secretary Dana Perino said on FOX News that there had been no terrorist attacks during the Bush administration, I didn’t think much of it. I may have suggested here that the Republicans were attempting to rewrite history, but, if I had to bet on it, I probably would have said that she just misspoke. But, right now, I’m watching footage of Rudy Giuliani on Good Morning America this morning, I’m not so sure. Like Perino, states unequivocally that we were not attacked during the Bush administration. Here’s the exact quote:

“We had no domestic attacks under Bush; we’ve had one under Obama.”

And now I’m wondering if there might really be some kind of coordinated effort to obfuscate the fact that the Republicans were in power when 9/11 happened.

If you tell a lie enough times, a surprisingly huge amount of the population will believe it. At least it is not sneaky in a subtle way. It is overt.
I know that is a real comfort to you, Mark. Sorry I can’t help on this one.

Oh, 911 happened alright. Who will ever forget the night the Iraqi StormTroopers invaded our shores, all while Bill Clinton was getting a blow job.

He came on CNN yesterday to expound and say

” I meant to say no terrorist attacks since 911 on Bush’s watch”.

He also said he considered the Ft. Hood attack THE attack he was referring to and not the underwear bomber.
Like Obama could do anything about the Ft. Hood fanatic…god

I don’t mind good conservatives..but this guy is the WORST.

My immediate thoughts on his remarks were does he remember the

    …Anthrax attacks?
    The DC Sniper
Which were NATION gripping fear type operations.

Whilst the Hood guy was shot and apprehended immediately.
(not to do disservice of any persons who were hurt, maimed, or sadly killed in any of theses events.)

Nope, what i mentioned were not attacks in Rudys mind.

If the Ft. Hood deal was a terrorist attack to Giuliani, wouldn’t the shooting at the holocaust museum count, too?
