Connecting the dots between the tornados of Joplin and global climate change

I don’t have it in me to pull together a real blog post tonight (as I’m exhausted from all the bead redemption), but I did want to pass along this video, which was posted today on the environmental site Grist. The text comes from a recent Washington Post op-ed by Bill McKibben, the founder of the climate advocacy group 350.org. The narration and illustration is done by Stephen Thomson of Plomomedia.com.

I’m sure that droughts, tornadoes, floods, and earthquakes don’t occur more frequently when Verlander is pitching well either. Let’s just hope that the Lions don’t have a winning season next year or we’re all cooked.

I think this is the link to the “clip” Mr. Maynard was referencing. For those like the “people” at “Grist” who are unfamiliar with the Scriptures, here are the real dots to connect.

Christians have long known that war, famine, and “natural” disasters are the last signs of Christ’s soon return. Those who seek Christ’s triumphal return welcome these events. Those who are wise among you will “connect the dots” and repent.

Did humans “create” wars and climate change? No more so than a puppet “creates” its Master. Are humans the “actors” in war? Are humans the “actors” in climate change. Does it matter?

Those who YEARN for Christ’s return ACT to ENACT it! Those who oppose “war” and “natural disaster” demonically and subconsciously oppose Christ’s return. Those who long for Jesus, connect the DOTS!

This is for those “WHO HAVE EARS TO HEAR”! Destruction is nigh. Salvation is calling. Connect the dots! The TRUTH has been spoken!

I think people are too intimidated to respond to you. We’ve never had a real prophet show up here.

Morons who believe in this climate change hoax are drinking some pretty good Kool-Aid these days.

Wow, this post drew out the trolls.
The more energy released into the system, the more and greater the intensity of storms. Not rocket science either folks.

    Dear P.S.

According to some of your friends, the Bible also predicts that sexual immorality will be a sign of Jesus return. Is that why you and your sort are so quick to embrace not only environmental destruction and merciless war, but accept rampant sexual abuse and marital infidelity? Are people who then oppose sexual abuse “demonically and subconsciously oppos[ing] Christ’s return”?

According to your logic, isn’t the best way to bring Jesus back to fuck your momma (preferably on a pile of burning babies)?

Great religion you got there. I hope you and EOS have a good time “preparing the way for the lord.”

Jesus would be oh so proud.
