I wasn’t going to post tonight, but then I saw this new ad put out by Republican Voters Against Trump featuring retired General Michael Hayden, and I felt compelled to share it, in hopes that a few of you might want to pass it along to your Trump supporting friends and relatives. Yes, there’s part of me that wishes we’d nominated someone farther to the left, who Republicans wouldn’t feel so comfortable getting behind, but it does my heart good to see life-long conservatives like Hayden coming out, doing the right thing, putting country before party, and declaring that they’ll be casting their ballots not for the candidate who will allow them to pay less in taxes, or give them the judges that they want, but the one who will bring dignity back to the office of president, reestablish our position of leadership on the global stage, and end the rampant criminality of the last four years. I’m proud to live in a country where there are people like General Hayden, Olivia Troye, Elizabeth Neumann, Bill Kristol, and Cindy McCain, who have the character to stand up and say something, knowing that doing so will bring the ire of many they once considered friends. One hopes, over the course of the next 28 days, we see even more people making the leap, in hopes of getting on the right side of history. Yes, it would have been more impactful had they joined us several years ago, but I’m happy to welcome them to the side of light.

The CIA, FBI, and Obama administration knew 4 years ago that HRC fabricated the Russian collusion story about Trump. Brennan announced, after this information was declassified and released, that HRC’s actions were campaign tactics and not illegal. Yet millions of dollars were wasted and a President was impeached by partisan congressional action for events that the entire intelligence community and prior administration knew for a fact to be total bullshit. I just made an amazing breakfast/lunch for my kids of fish cakes, spinach, roasted cauliflower and potatoes and tamarind maple waffles– crafted mostly from the leftovers from last night’s dinner at Bellflower in Ypsi. Highly recommended. Excellent spot. Highly skilled staff. Nice to see SOMETHING being well-run these days. Also very heartening that a few people took their down time during the pandemic to actually create something new. I had hoped for a lot more creative output (from myself and others). Maybe there’s more to come. I feel certain that the collective sigh of relief if Trump is defeated will produce a great creative outpouring. My hat is off to those who can manage to dream/make amidst the current madness.

I think Ypsilanti has done a wonderful job in eliminating public urinating. In my walks around town Ive counted at least 8 public porta-potties set up. There are 4 across from Stupid Hicks old world piss spot. There is at least one in each of the parks.
