Speaking of Donald Trump, he also said on Fox News yesterday that some people with COVID-19 feel good enough to go to work, improve quickly, etc. After the fact, when people expressed outrage that the president was suggesting that infected people might be OK in the workplace, he responded by calling it “fake news” and “disinformation put out by the Democrats”. Anyway there is a ton of Medicare fraud you ought to acknowledge, Barky. It’s not just more Medicare good, less Medicare bad.
There is a ton of theft from retail establishments. To reduce that, we should close more stores.

Trump did not say it is “ok to go to work” if you are infected. The context of his statement was tbat many people will not be counted as having Coronavirus because they experience mild symptoms, do not get tested, and go about their lives without knowing they have the virus. I have heard experts say the same thing in terms of the difficulty of calculating fatality rates…Watch the video.

I am most worried about the kind of posters who are incapable of properly applying analogies.
I think it is interesting that so many on the right have trouble with abstractions. They will not believe that there could be cuts until there are actually cuts to things like Social Security.
I think it would be far better if those who constantly go against other posters would be the ones who dropped out and left others who wish to discuss the concepts and issues to continue.

I used to play ice hockey in a men’s league, but it got too serious to risk injury for competitive purposes. Then I played for fun with a group of friends on a regular ice time, but then I got too old to risk injury. Now I run, swim, and do resistance training on my own schedule. I wonder what everybody else does to try to maintain their health? Maybe Mark could open a post about personal health and self-care? At least it would be free without a monthly premium, copay, or deductible.
