Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman to confirm that, yes, Donald Trump pressured the President of Ukraine to open an investigation into the Bidens, “undermin(ing) U.S. national security”

Later this morning, decorated Iraq War veteran Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman is scheduled to give testimony before the House Intelligence Committee. Vindman, who, as a member of the National Security Council, was on President Trump’s July 25 call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, is expected to tell members of Congress that he was so alarmed by Trump’s pressuring of Zelensky to open investigations into the Bidens that, on two occasions, he reached out to a top White House lawyer, asking for something to be done. [“I did not think it was proper to demand that a foreign government investigate a U.S. citizen,” Vindman plans on saying.] The following is an excerpt from the opening statement that we’re told Vindman will be delivering prior to his questioning.

Among other things, it’s expected that this testimony of Vindman’s will directly contradict that of Trump’s Ambassador to the European Union Gordon Sondland, who previously testified under oath that, “Nothing was ever raised to me about any concerns regarding our Ukraine policy.” [Vindman, as you can read in the above statement, will be testifying that he and Sondland discussed this very thing.]

The Republicans, true to form, have already begun to suggest that Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman, who earned a Purple Heart in Iraq, is a “double agent” guilty of espionage.

And, this morning, the cast of Fox and Friends questioned Vindman’s loyalty to America. As an immigrant to our country, they argued, his loyalties lie elsewhere.

It’s hard to argue with the faux news/agent orange strategy of: “if those dumb schmucks believed that Q shit, they’ll believe anything..”

Like every soldier and every National Security Council official, Col. Vindman took an oath to defend the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA against enemies, foreign and domestic. He did not take an oath to Trump. That’s the way its works in OUR country.

Aloha Meta, He is active duty, so I think wearing his uniform while on duty is appropriate. Just saw this, double the trouble–reminds me of those old doublemint chewing gum adds.

“Alexander Vindman took his twin brother, Yevgeny Vindman — also an Army lieutenant colonel who works for the NSC handling ethics issues —”—who thought ethics were still a big deal–except in the military.

    Dear Fox News,

Please remove the goons from my tv screen. I like the pretty women, but why do you see it as necessary or useful to have them flanked by bizarre-looking freaks? I don’t watch tv to see weird, ugly, creeps. I’m sure nobody does. Can’t the pretty women just read all the bullshit on the teleprompters, allowing all the creepy-looking goons to be shitcanned?

Also, please add more red, white, and blue. I saw one guest didn’t get the memo and wore a brown jacket. When I look at the screen, I should only see red, white, and blue.

You need to remove the comma after the words “Bidens” in the title.

It is interesting that investigating criminal activity is the focus of outrage, while the criminal activity itself is accepted with no second thoughts.

We should get Trump one of those Sherlock Holmes hats and the pipe too, so he can look the part when he’s conducting his investigations. I’d settle for just a Dick Tracy getup.

Hard to know if those on this board are really this dumb or functionally paralyzed by your mindless hatred. Alexander Semyon Vindman was born in Ukraine, loves his country, is a “Never Trumper Stooge” (NTS) and would gladly nuc Russia if he could. Like many democrats, he is all for starting a war with Russia over Ukraine’s independence regardless of the price for the country he loves. He also works for the President, so while he may occasionally be asked for his opinions, when not asked his job is to shut up and quit crying. Foreign Policy is the preview of the President of the United States – not some little obama hold-over. Nothing your President did on that call or otherwise is illegal and this Impeachment fraud is, hysterically, going to end with Trump winning 2020 in a landslide and Republicans returning to power in the Congress and democrat party shoved back in their little box of irrelevance where they belong. Editors note: Due to his complete corruption and incompetence along with his title of worst president since Jimmy Carter and 2012 Liar of the Year, obama’s name should never be capitalized. …now run along and educate you selves.

Have you seen the video of Sleepy Joe boasting that he threatened to withhold 1 billion dollars of foreign aid to the Ukraine unless they fired the prosecutor who was investigating the crimes of his son Hunter? And so they fired him. Crickets.

And yet, Trump is under threat of impeachment for asking the Ukraine leader to reopen their investigation.

Yes, it sometimes feels as if the world has turned upside down.

No, I’ve lived long enough to see a 180.

Did you see DD comments – morality is whatever the majority decides? Does the majority here actually believe that?

If everyone jumps off a cliff, would you follow?
