Every Fourth of July for the past 38 years, PBS, with the help of partners like Boeing, the National Park Service, and American Airlines, has hosted an enormous public event in Washington, DC called A Capital Fourth, which begins with the National Symphony Orchestra playing on the West Lawn of the Capitol, and ends with what they refer to as “the greatest display of fireworks anywhere in the nation.” Well, today, Donald Trump, having been denied the military parade he so desperately wanted, seemed to indicate that he’d be co-opting the event and making it about… you’ve got it… himself.
Maybe it’s his fragile ego that’s pushing him toward this. Maybe, after all of the lying about how big his relatively small red state rallies have been, he just desperately wants to be on a big stage, in front of half a million people, imaging that they’re all there to see him. Maybe he thinks that, by standing there, with the monuments behind him, and the fireworks overhead, he’ll achieve some sense of legitimacy. Or, maybe, he just thinks the visual will help him in the upcoming election, which he desperately needs to win in order to avoid prosecution. Whatever the impetus may have been, it’s a disgusting move on his part, and the American people shouldn’t allow him to get away with it. Just because he couldn’t get the military parade he wanted, we shouldn’t acquiesce and allow him to take Independence Day from us.
And, yes, I know I’ll regret it later, but I made the choice to write about this today instead of Amy Klobuchar’s proprietary salad comb.

Your people can’t pull more than a few hundred at rallies. You are ridiculous. Are you working from a premise that the farther away from reality you get the more believable it will be?

Congress found nothing, Senate found nothing but you feel confident to keep claiming Russian collusion. Huh! Looking forward to Mueller wrapping up? I know I am. If Mueller finds nothing will you give it up? Apologize for being obnoxious and wrong?
I so badly want to troll him but I don’t need the death threats. I wanna try to get Trump to move it to June 14th, his birthday, because what’s more important than the birth of our country but the birth of the greatest president who ever lived?

HW, I’ve said from the beginning that I don’t think there was any collusion between Trump and Putin. But I do believe Putin is blackmailing Trump. There’s a difference.
Is it better to be blackmailed or to collude? Inquiring minds want to know.

Hillary Clinton has Russia Collusion Problem
All of the huffing and puffing about President Trump and Russia these past two years effectively took the spotlight off Hillary Clinton and her foundation’s activities. That is the purpose of the Mueller/Comey/Rosenstein/McCabe farce. The Clinton network was knee-deep in Russians, and the FBI shut down an investigation that would have provided answers about Clinton collusion. Hillary Clinton’s family and charity profited from Moscow and simultaneously facilitated official government actions benefiting Russia through the Uranium One deal. And in the midst of all this collusion, Bill Clinton gets $500K for a speech in Russia.
