It’s easy to gain momentum when you’re going downhill, Newt

[I was going to post something tonight about how Trump had lied earlier today when he referred to the New York Times as failing, but then I remembered that, not too long ago, I’d promised to stop focusing on Trump’s lies… So, instead, you get this response of mine to Newt Gingrich, a man who, I kid you not, I’m pretty sure I busted cheating on his wife in a Georgia forrest back in 1994.]

Good one there. You are scared because the Democrat crimes which constitute actual treason are exploding into public awareness and as that happens the Russia “narrative” (lie) is being exposed as a frame-up.

It’s interesting how someone once influential has become so peripheral, making sideline comments.

Hyborian: Since you declared your support for Trump was in part about Hillary’s supposed hawkishness, I wondering about your take on this: http://foreignpolicy.com/2017/08/09/donald-trump-is-dropping-bombs-at-unprecedented-levels/

When you vote to authorize war against a country that had nothing to do with 9/11, because you don’t want to look weak for your presidential run, you might be a hawk.

I believe Hillary supported Trump’s fake as hell bombing of an Assad air-field except she presumably wanted the bombing to be real a real attack on Assad (and Russian?) forces.

I don’t like it, Jean. I do like that President Trump cut off the Obama era funding of…anti Assad forces. This North Korea shit is annoying and I hope it does not become a tragedy. They are threatening to fire a missile near Guam on the 15th and Trump isn’t having it. It is likely that if Bill Clinton hadn’t sold nuclear know-how to China, NK would not have nukes today.

Bob– I’m sorry was HRC President then? No she was not. She was representing the State of New York. She did their bidding on that one and expressed great reservations on the floor. From what I’ve seen locally lately, the citizenry say they like leaders who go against the wishes of the people they represent until those leaders disagree with them.

HRC had the 8th most liberal voting record in the Senate.
Lately the Berner left have taken to attacking Kamala Harris, Pelosi, Waters and Booker…. See a pattern?

    Hyborian is keen on hyperbole:
“During the Clinton presidency, a deal called the Agreed Framework was negotiated. The United States agreed to help North Korea build two light-water nuclear reactors – which are not ideal for making – and provide much needed resources like oil, if North Korea agreed to cease constructing weapons capable reactors and accept international inspections. IAEA inspectors visited Yongbyon and set up security devices to make sure the plant could not be used to produce weapons-grade radioactive materials.

The Agreed Framework fell apart under President George W. Bush. There was some evidence that North Korea may have continued engaging in nuclear weapons research, even acquiring nuclear technology from Pakistan. Hard-liners in Bush’s administration, doubtful of diplomacy’s efficacy, used this as an excuse to clamp down. Western oil shipments to North Korea were halted in late 2002. North Korea responded by expelling IAEA inspectors and restarting the plant at Yongbyon. In January 2003, North Korea withdrew from the International Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. The Clinton deal had slowed, but not stopped, Kim Jong-il’s nuclear plans.” — from Rolling Stone

PS Also Republicans in Congress after ’94 killed appropriations for the Agreed Framework, which set N Korea on their trajectory.

As for China, they have had nuclear weaponry capacity since 1964.

No, Jean. I’m talking about the 1996 weapons tech transfer to China by a Clinton donor with his approval.

    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/clinton-foundation-scandal-echoes-clinton-china-controversy-from-1998/article/2600931
In 1996, a U.S. company gave China vital technical information that boosted its missile program, an incident that Clinton’s own national security team said was a major mistake.

But instead of punishing that company, Clinton rewarded it by approving the sale of another one of its satellites to China, and dismissed national security concerns as he took that step.

The move was seen as controversial in no small part because the CEO of the company Clinton helped was a major donor to Clinton and other Democrats.

Frustrating times means Hillary apologists who still can’t admit what an inept candidate she was, putting us in this mess to begin with. Keep pretending Sanders wouldn’t have crushed Trump.
