I wasn’t expecting, when I opened the Current, to find a photo of my son posing with my friend Rob’s ass

I assume this photo was taken before Karen Maurer began encouraging her tenants to dump their trash in that alley?

How much longer will Deja Vu be on that block? They were able to exist with Beezy’s across the street, but can they survive the staring eyes of kids eating ice cream? I don’t have anything agains the Vu, but it seems like their clientele might be happier in a location where kids aren’t watching. Maybe I’m overthinking it. Maybe their core business is much later at night, or maybe they just don’t care. It seems to me, however, that most strip joints are in parts of town where there aren’t a lot of baby carriages going by.

Do you make your son wear that grey strip of fabric over his eyes all the time?

All I know is that they better keep their Mackinaw Island Fudge stocked.

It’s for the boy’s own protection, Rat. If he were to look directly at Mark, he’d go blind.

Yes, I blindfold my children when they’re out. It’s not because I don’t want them look at me. I just don’t want them knowing how to get to and from our house. When they turn 18, I plan to let them loose in Toledo, and never see them again.

And we just went and ate at Go Ice Cream. Rob’s ass watched us like a hawk.
