Rick Snyder tells Charlie LeDuff that he would let his grandchildren bathe daily in Flint water

Speaking of bathing your kids and grandkids in Flint municipal water, here’s a bulletin that was sent out a week or so ago by the state, telling people that doing so would be just fine, so long as none of the water made it into the mouths of said kids, as that would be “yucky.”

And, yes, my assumption is that the two children pictured here are in fact Rick Snyder’s beloved grandchildren, for whom he has Flint water delivered to Ann Arbor daily.

[In case it wasn’t clear, I was joking about those being Snyder’s grandkids. Regardless of what he told LeDuff, I don’t think he even has grandchildren… Oh, and the above bulletin has since been removed from the State’s website. Make of that what you will.]

I choose to believe those are Snyder’s grandchildren in the flyer, and that he moved them into the home of Lee Anne Walters?

“Controversial Flint ‘Bath Time’ Poster Removed From Government Website”

The water crisis in Flint has been an ongoing and painful saga for the city’s residents. State and local authorities have come under criticism for the handling of the situation that has now become a national topic.

The latest controversy isn’t about the amount of lead in Flint’s water, but rather a poster that was featured on the State’s website which stated that it is safe for children and adults to bathe in the contaminated water.

“Hey Flint! It’s Safe To Wash,” the poster proclaims, with the images of two happy babies below. Some have called the poster insensitive because of its light-hearted approach to a situation that has had a serious impact on many Flint families.

After being brought to light by the Metro Times, the poster was later removed and replaced with a much more informative flyer.

I’m not buying Snyder’s “dumb” act. I think he is one deliberately depraved son of a bitch.

“Hey Flint … the water isn’t TOO dangerous, as long as you don’t drink it, or stay in it too long” would be funny … if it weren’t so tragic and offensive.

    Ignorance is Strength
Contaminated Water is Actually Good for You.
