Yesterday evening, upon returning from my pseudo high school reunion in New Jersey, I sat down with Arlo to show him some pictures I’d taken of my old friends drinking beer and trading insults. And, as he was was uncharacteristically attentive, I kept going through my photo archive once we’d reached the end of the vacation photos. We’d probably been sitting on the couch for about ten minutes, flipping though old family photos, when we reached the following photo me, which was taken when I was about eight years old and living in Atlanta. Arlo looked at it intently for a moment and then turned to look at me. “It’s a monster,” he said, in a questioning tone… “No, Arlo, this is just what people looked like a long time ago.”

The teeth are too blunt for it to be a vampire.
Those teeth could still do a number on a person, though.
Were we all just more horrible and monstrous in the 70s?
Seriously, a face only a mother could love. And she does!!!!
There were scarier monsters in the 1970s.
