The complete Totally Awesome Fest 10 line-up beginning with Sunday’s city-wide Easter egg hunt!

Since last week’s press conference, Ypsilanti has been in the grip of Totally Awesome Fest fever. You can’t leave your home, it seems, without getting tangled up in drunken beard, wet lips smacking against your ear, speculating as to what Patrick Elkins may have up his sleeve this year. Well, earlier this morning, a bit more was revealed, as the following list was stuck to my front door with clove chewing gum, Martin Luther style, along with the following image warning me not to share it. (I suck at keeping secrets.)

From what I understand, millions of Easter Eggs will be left around the City early Sunday morning. They will all include something special, but only one, from what I’m told, will include a map to tomorrow’s “Secret Brunch in the Woods.” The person who finds it will then have a serious choice to make. She can either choose to keep the information to herself, and dine alone in the woods, or she can let the world know… perhaps by leaving a comment on this site, which would kind of make sense given that this is pretty much the official blog of Totally Awesome Fest… a title I will totally disavow should anything terrible happen over the next week. And, speaking of terrible things, I’m told that, among the prizes being left in the eggs will be chocolate tampons.

update: If you want to get a sense as to what the Totally Awesome Fest vibe is like, here’s some footage I shot a few years ago which I think does a pretty good job of capturing it.

update: Here’s a recording of the Ooze Dude / Princess Xanthipe / MC Trashpedal / Sujit Das / P.E. / JAV jam from WCBN’s Local Music Show a few days ago.

Surprised we don’t have an Ypsi Pooper band yet.

Also, I’m trying to add links where I can, but I don’t know most of these bands. If you do, and there’s somewhere appropriate that I can link to, please let me know.

Is “Public Urination” a reference to Nathan K?

Tickled to wake up and find an easter egg on my mailbox! If only it had been the brunch one… Oh well, breakfast candy at least.
