I cleaned house for over 12 hours yesterday, and, to celebrate, I woke up this morning and started drinking Bloody Marys. In spite of this, however, it was still my intention to blog tonight. But, just as I was changing into my tattered blogging leotard, I was reminded of the fact that season two of House of Cards had just gone up on Netflix. And, now, for all intents and purposes, I’m a bedridden invalid. So, if you want to read about David Simon calling America a “horror show”, next weekend’s big Pam Grier film festival, or the New Zealand Prime Minister’s public denial of being a humanoid lizard, you’ll have to go somewhere else. If no other sites will take you, though, and you’re desperate for something to do, here’s a classic clip from Athens, GA. Inside/Out, of one of my favorite bands – the Flat Duo Jets. Enjoy.
[How’d you like the title of this piece? I’m just trying out the Upworthy filter, and I don’t quite have the hang of it yet.]

If you like Zoe’s character, you’d better really savor the first episode.
That was just plain mean, HoC.
I’ve never heard of rock ‘n roll.
Does it strike anyone else as odd that only one world leader has come out and denied being an intergalactic lizard monster? I find that troubling.
Does anyone know what happened to Crow from the Flat Duo Jets? Dexter still makes the rounds, playing music. Crow kind of fell off the edge of the earth, though. I keep hoping that they’re reconcile as old men.
Chris “Crow” Smith released a solo record a few years back.

Upworthy should be ridiculed right out of existence.
On the Pam Grier Film Festival at the Redford Theater, its a great place to visit if you have never been there. It’s a completely restored 1928 neighborhood movie mini-palace, showing classic movies, and run completely by volunteers. For Valentines Day weekend they showed Casablanca, for free. If we leave Ypsi at 7pm, it takes us around 40 minutes to get there for an 8pm show – http://redfordtheatre.com
From the Gawker conversation on House of Cards season two:
It made so sense to me that Zoe would go looking for him in the shadows, but not much of the show makes sense. It reminds me of Melrose Place.
So, theoretically, if Pam Grier had two hours free on Saturday morning and wanted to join me at Beezy’s for a gravy plate, she’d have time to pull it off?
Oh! I love the Redford and am hoping to get out there for the Pam Grier fest. That place is awesome…try the sweet potato bakery if you get a chance.
