As last year’s Beer with Bloggers event was such a resounding success, we’ve decided to do it again next Tuesday evening at the Corner Brewery. The event, as always, will be free and open to the public… So, if you’ve got a blog of your own, enjoy engaging in conversations on your favorite local blog, or just like to lurk in anonymity, please consider coming out and joining us. The event was just made public a few hours ago, so I’m sure this list will grow quite a bit, but so far I’ve received notes from the following folks stating that they’re hoping to attend.
Chris Savage: Eclectablog
Ben Connor Barrie: Damn Arbor
Patti Smith: The Palate of Patti
Edward Vielmetti: Vacuum
Mary Bilyeu: Food Floozie
Steven Krause: EMU Talk
Patrick Diehl: What’s the Diehl?
Anne Savage: The Savage Feast
Peter Larson: Freewheel Burning
Christine Barry: Blogging for Michigan
Mike White: The Projection Booth
Ruth Kraut: Ann Arbor School Musings
Sarah Rigg: I Did It So You Don’t Have To
Joseph Schafer: Invisible Oranges
Kenneth Bailey: Michigan Exposures
Chuck Marshall: Life in Michigan
Mark Maynard: Mark Maynard dotcom
Roger Kerson: Driving Growth
If you’re planning to join us, you can RSVP on Facebook.

Is there a group like AA for people who are trying to stop blogging?
FYI: Assuming this one goes well, Chris and I are talking about having another one (probably this fall) somewhere in Detroit.
As for programs for bloggers looking to turn their lives around, I’m not aware of any, but I like the idea of maybe modeling something after Reverend Billy’s Church of Stop Shopping… A Church of Stop Blogging.
I have sympathy for people sitting in front of laptops, trying hard to be noticed.
It’s a trap! He’s luring you all in for an intervention!
Will you be making seed bombs?
Or real bombs?
This will be a fanciful tyme.
Will there be fights? Will it be like March Madness, with bloggers fighting and advancing through brackets, with the competition becoming increasingly more brutal, until a champion is named?
Yes, Flap, they must all be attention-starve narcissists. Why they fuck else would anyone give a shit about the communities in which they live?
The first one was a lot of fun! Linda freaking YOHN was there! How cool is that?!? Also, it’s fun to speculate if EOS is somewhere in the crowd. We’ve never seen him/her and so we have no idea, do we? (Hell, EOS could be Peter Larson or me or Mark or anyone. Bahahahahahaha!)
That wasn’t the first one Patti. Just the first one in recent memory. Mark’s been forcing bloggers from their mothers’ basements for the better part of a decade now, and making them socialize.
Oh! And I met Jeff Irwin IRL too!
Old Timer…that is great to hear :) Let’s make sure he keeps forcing people out!
Just a quick reminder this will be happening tomorrow evening at the Corner Brewery… I look forward to meeting some of you all in person.
