Yesterday, I posted some encouraging anecdotal evidence that, in the wake of Romney’s lie about Chrysler closing down Jeep manufacturing facilities in Ohio, the electoral tide in the Buckeye State might be turning toward Obama. Here, in the interest of journalistic integrity, is some equally anecdotal evidence that would seem to indicate otherwise. The following video, featuring Chase Whiteside of New Left Meida, which was shot a few days ago, at a Romney rally in Defiance, Ohio, would seem to indicate not only that Obama will lose, but that the world is about to end.

Oh, and I realize this really doesn’t add much to our serious discussion about the election, but I was hoping it might get a few of you sitting on the sidelines pissed off enough to go into the local Obama office to volunteer today, or make a contribution.

Actually, I kind of feel sorry for this poor woman. After all, keeping track of all the Obama conspiracies can be REALLY confusing.

Also, I think it’s worth pointing out that this footage was shot before it became widely known that Romney had lied about the closing down of Jeep plants in Ohio. For all I know, all of these folks are now Obama supporters.

*Day in the Life of Joe Middle-Class Republican*
Joe gets up at 6:00am to prepare his morning coffee. He fills his pot full of good clean drinking water because some liberal fought for minimum water quality standards. He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some liberal fought to insure they are safe and work as advertised.
All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employers medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance, now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs this day. Joe’s bacon is safe to eat because some liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.
Joe takes his morning shower reaching for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with every ingredient and the amount of its contents because some liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some tree hugging liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air. He walks to the subway station for his government subsidized ride to work; it saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees. You see, some liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.
Joe begins his work day; he has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation days because some liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe’s employer pays these standards because Joe’s employer doesn’t want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he’ll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some liberal didn’t think he should loose his home because of his temporary misfortune.
Its noon time. Joe needs to make a Bank Deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe’s deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some liberal wanted to protect Joe’s money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before The Depression.
Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae underwritten Mortgage and his below market federal student loan because some stupid liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his life-time.
Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive to dads; his car is among the safest in the world because some liberal fought for car safety standards. He arrives at his boyhood home. He was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers Home Administration because bankers didn’t want to make rural loans. The house didn’t have electricity until some big government liberal stuck his nose where it didn’t belong and demanded rural electrification. (Those rural Republicans would still be sitting in the dark)
He is happy to see his dad who is now retired. His dad lives on Social Security and his union pension because some liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn’t have to. After his visit with
dad, he gets back in his car for the ride home. He turns on a radio talk show. The host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. (He doesn’t tell Joe that his beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoyed throughout his day.) Joe agrees, “We don’t need those big government liberals ruining our lives; after all, I’m a self made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have”.
In case you didn’t notice, Joe, obviously a product of America’s tragically failing public school system, the result of decades of decadent liberal dominance, ended his final statement “just like I have” when he should have said “just as I have”. Damned liberals screw everything up, don’t they!

When you have Meatloaf’s endorsement of you getting media attention, you know you’ve ‘jumped the shark’ and you are going to lose. The Romney campaign has become an out-and-out comedy routine now. It’s bizarre. I’m honestly surprised people don’t catch on to what it means.
At this point, Romney will need an electoral miracle to win, and probably much more than that. Of course, I’m not convinced that was ever even the plan anyway. He’s a devout Republican businessman after all, and that means he’s always looking to cut a deal which gives him greater wealth and security for himself and his family, at the expense of any other goals. That’s what the stupid masses in the Republican Party don’t understand about the “values” they push. They breed sell-outs, and nobody is better at selling-out for money than Republican leaders. What I am saying is that I think Romney cut a deal before his nomination, to throw the election if necessary, and in exchange his family will get many very lucrative federal deals in the months following the election. Just watch.
Take it from me, if you are ever having trouble with a Republican businessman…offer him a payoff. Don’t assume they won’t take it on some sort of devotion to principle. They’re inherently sell-outs. Almost to the last one of them, they are only pretending to have ideological convictions which money doesn’t trump. It’s part of the image.
And the deal with Romney isn’t the only one that has apparently been made to secure this election. There are many fail-safes in place to make sure the current administration remains in power for another term.
First off, it looks like Florida might be rigged in favor of the party in power this time. And a win in Florida will essentially seal it for Obama. The mindless GOP devotees in Florida only have themselves to blame for not restoring the integrity of their election systems there, at least to the level they were at before the rigged 2000 and 2004 elections. What Republican masses ironically don’t understand is that when you put in place a corrupt operation, it now belongs to the market, and all it takes to use it, is money to buy it. Everything is up for bids, and it appears the bidding on which way to rig the Florida vote has been secured this time by those to which the stupid GOP drones are so fervently opposed.
There are back-up plans as well. One I have noticed appears to involve a surprisingly “massive turnout” in the two most Democratic counties in the Denver area which will secure the state for the Dems. And a win in Colorado makes a combination of even less likely Romney states absolutely necessary for a win for him.
Nevada is bought, and Wisconsin and Iowa are far too influenced by Chicago organization to be genuinely winnable targets for Romney.
The truly pathetic thing for the Republicans is that all of these states are actually winnable for Obama without any funny business. These fail-safes are all just backup plans which are in position in case they are needed.
All that being said, I’m still going to vote, and I’ll be voting for Obama…not because I believe there is actually any chance that he will lose, but because I sim0ply refuse to resign that right. Also, there are many other races and proposals which I have seen very little evidence of being ‘fixed’, and I want to have my small say in those matters.
I agree with you Robert, in that it takes an electoral college miracle for anyone to beat an incumbent. But if Romney were the “greedy Republican businessman” that you describe, he wouldn’t have taken such a financial loss to govern a state or wasted so much time to run an Olympics. Had he stayed in business, his wealth would now be immense.
If Romney did agree to throw the election, at least he’s doing a more credible job of it than McCain did.
I think the voter fraud in this election year will reach new heights and there’s a good possibility that it will be a month or more before a winner is declared in many contests. But to suggest that the Democrats only recently learned these tactics from the Republicans shows a wholesale ignorance of American political history.
I do agree that Romney is doing a more credible job in throwing the election than McCain did. But I am convinced McCain wasn’t in on the deal. He was not paid-off. The strategy was to have him have a heart attack early in his term and have President Palin (the female version of Bush) in the white house, so they’d all be free to run their rackets unchecked.
McCain stopped trying after he was forced to accept Palin as his VP. He knew what it meant for him if he did win.
The election fraud (electronic rigging) will not need to reach new heights. Florida will be more than enough. Back in 2004 there were no less than six states flipped. I only see two needed this year…three at the max.
I noticed you didn’t seem to care back then, by the way. Which kinda proves my point about what where most people’s devotion truly resides. You’d take a payoff yourself if it were presented to you by the ‘right’ people. You’re very unquestioning of things you see as going ‘your way’.
It won’t take a month or more before a winner is declared. We’ll know by 9pm on election night. We’ll see which one of us has a better understanding of how these things work.

Obama will get no less than 300 electoral votes.
Romney will get about 260 at the very best, but will more likely end up with about 210 or less.
If Florida goes for Obama, and we’ll know this by 9pm, he’s won comfortably, with as many as 330 electoral votes.
If by “voter fraud” you mean massive numbers of black people voting, then yes, there is likely to be a good amount of that all across the country, EOS.

That seemed to imply to me that you believe that Republicans installed a corrupt operation (to beat Gore) which will be used by Democrats in this election. However, after reading your objection, I concede that it’s equally plausible that you were referring to a longstanding corrupt operation used interchangeably by both parties.
I’ve read that Ohio has a law that prohibits opening provisional ballots until 10 days after the election and more than 300,000 absentee requests that haven’t been returned yet will become provisional ballots if they show up at the polls. The East Coast and the military are voting by email. Machines in Ohio and Virginia are registering votes for the opposite candidate. There’s plenty of potential for delay and lawsuits in a number of toss-up states.
I did care in 2004 and was glad that the courts ruled against a partial recount. I did care in 2008, when the Sat. night live character stole the election by a margin lower than the number of felons who voted illegally. I do care that many elections today are won by a margin of victory that is less than the margin of error in vote counting.
If Obama gets re-elected, we’ll become a democratic socialist state with a devastated economy. If Romney wins, we’ll be drawn into a war with Iran and Israel. One thing I am certain of is that this election cannot go “my way”.
There is nothing to suggest that a social democratic state and a strong economy are incompatible. In fact, some of the strongest economies on the planet are democracies that offer vastly more expansive social welfare programs than the United States.
Also, there’s nothing to suggest that our economy is going to approach anything near “devastated” anytime soon, unless of course we have a repeat of 2008, which had absolutely nothing to do with social programs and everything to do with unregulated speculation.
But then, you’ve never been anywhere outside Ypsilanti Township nor do you know much about economics.
EOS, I appreciate that you can see that I was not suggesting Republicans invented corruption. What I was saying is that the means of electronically rigging Florida was put in place by Republicans, and then those means were not disassembled afterward, leaving open the certainty that it would happen again and again. In fact, you would be the first Republican I’ve ever communicated with, who has admitted Florida was rigged in 2000, if that is what you are admitting.
I believe the electoral processes in Ohio are being messed with, yes. Are you aware of who is in charge of those processes there?
I would not be the least bit surprised if what you say about machines in Ohio and Virginia registering votes for the opposite candidate is true, but that was happening on a massive scale in 2004, and I have never noticed you mention it. Have you?
So are you saying you believed the rigging was being done in favor of the loser in 2004? That would not be at all what the mountains of evidence suggest. I would be blown away if you really paid any attention to the detail of that count and came to the conclusion it was being rigged FOR Kerry. That would be incredible to me.
Did you actually follow the details of what happened in Minnesota in 2008? The questionable votes were heavily in favor of Franken’s opponent. When the national media started paying a little attention, the GOP dropped much of what they were trying to do, and did what they could to win on what was left. I suspect you didn’t gather much detail about what was going on there, and instead read your usual sources which are absolutely biased. It doesn’t seem possible you haven’t noticed that.
You are a mysterious character, EOS. I honestly don’t know how you don’t see your own behavior as revealing. You don’t seem the sort to want to just goof around to mess with people, but it is essentially the end result anyway. I think you are filled with dramatic contradiction and I suspect that is why you shy away from open discussion in the real world and instead speak what you want to be perceived as your views here. It’s really quite fascinating.

Regarding the 45,000 mormons and 152 bigfoot sightings in Michigan, I liken it to the statement “The area of the base of the Great Pyramid of Giza divided by it’s height is equal to the distance between the earth and the moon (in kilometers).” Basically true, and basically meaningless…. unless, of course, you want to see meaning where there is none.
