Two movies came in from Netflix today. Which should I choose?
Help me pick the movie that I will fall asleep in front of tonight!

It’s like choosing between Dude Where’s My Car and Citizen Kane.
(Sorry, but I’m not a Miranda July fan.)
A Face in the Crowd…What a real predictor of our current “media”. Lonesome Rhodes, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh…no difference. Andy Griffith was GREAT in this movie and the opposite of all the parts he played the rest of his life.
To my knowledge, only one of these films features a talking cat.
Enough said.

I would love to see a reboot of the Andy Griffith Show with Miranda July in the role of Sheriff Taylor. Who would play Barnie, though? We don’t have anyone that compares to Don Knots. (And I’ll fight anyone who says Andy Dick.)
Patricia Neal: One of the great actresses of all time. And, until I saw ‘A Face in the Crowd,’ I had assumed Andy Griffith was just some mediocre dope on t.v.
Andy Griffith was brilliant. He’s not given the recognition that he deserves. I challenge you to compare the work that he did on Mayberry RFD (Rural Free Delivery) to anything on television today. It’s funny, has heart, has characters that you care about, without being saccharine.
Unfortunately, he got old and had to start doing shit like this, though.

If you just drink a beer, you can fall asleep without having to watch a movie.
