Somewhere, tonight, right wing tough guy, Ted Nugent, shits his pants in fear of the Secret Service

While I’m busy working on something else, I thought that you might want to check out this footage of Michigan’s hardest rocking serial pedophile, the gleefully masochistic, draft dodging, Ted Nugent, getting himself into a shit-load of trouble with the Secret Service… Apparently, you see, they don’t like it so much when you suggest in public that you intend to assassinate our democratically elected President.

“I’ll tell you this right now… If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year,” said Nugent, addressing a crowd at an NRA function in St. Louis. After calling the administration “vile, evil, (and) America-hating,” the Motor City Madman then went on to say, “We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?”

Here are the highlights.

It’s about time that the Secret Service got involved.

Remember this from Rolling Stone in 2007?

Renegade right-winger Ted Nugent recently went on a vicious onstage rant in which he threatened the lives of Democratic presidential candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Decked out in full-on camouflage hunting gear, Nugent wielded two machine guns while raging, “Obama, he’s a piece of shit. I told him to suck on my machine gun. Hey Hillary,” he continued. “You might want to ride one of these into the sunset, you worthless bitch.” Nugent summed up his eloquent speech by screaming “freedom!”

There’s a special place in my heart for men who, although they avoided the draft themselves, are always arguing for our country to go to war.

The sad thing is, if he ran for Congress, the people of Michigan would elect him in a heartbeat.

    Edward, it’s just insanity.
These are the same poeple who voted in the Republicans and took control of Michigan after Obama and the Democrats 100% saved the Auto industry and now Michigan is upticking again. Every Republican was against saving the Auto Industry.
    This is just sick.

It’s a pretty lame secret service if they’re just getting wind of the Nooj’s comments now. He was saying that stuff four years ago.

I don’t really think Michigan would elect him to anything either. His record includes personal bankruptcy, illegitimate children ignored for decades and a well documented taste for groupies as young as 15 or 16. I’ve been amazed that idiots like Hannity associate themselves with Ted at all given his family values record.

I should probably watch it myself considering the Nugent family have been creeping around here lately. Charmaine Nugent has been in Saline lately trying to drum up support for her Zumba classes. Despite having nothing to do with inventing the exercise/dance craze, she has reportedly tried to claim ownership of copyright control for Zumba here and is trying to cash in. In spite of their promise to leave Michigan years ago, they always seem to be around. Still shit to kill here I guess.

I don’t think that anyone believes that Nugent is really a threat to the President. There’s no place, however, for this kind of irresponsible language. While he might not do anything himself, who’s to say that one of his fans might not be incited to violence against a local official, for instance, who doesn’t have the benefit of Secret Service protection.

When waiting in line to tour the White House and a friend says something like – ‘hey Tommy you better put away your gun’ – I learned during this seventh grade field trip to D.C. in 1976 that when you make threatening comments aimed at the POTUS you can get into trouble.

Surprised the Nuge didn’t learn about this while discussing Junior High Civics class at the dinner table with one of his underage lovers.

The Secret Service have every right to have a chat with Mr. Nugent. It will also serve the purpose of having the talk machine focus on something other than screwing whores in Columbia.

    WL,

Ever notice how the effects of Republicans last for the duration of the term of any elected Democrat? Yet, when a new Republican is elected, they immediately effect change? I’m thinking of poor Jennifer Granholm, whose agenda for the entire 8 years in office was thwarted by Engler. Then Synder steps in and takes off running with a lot of new programs and a budget with a surplus. Why don’t Democratic constituents demand more from their elected leaders once they gain office?

    The Nuge responds:

By no stretch of the imagination did I ever threaten anyone’s life, or hint of violence or mayhem. Metaphors needn’t be explained to educated people.

I passionately rallied the American civilian troops to stand up for what is right and to demand that the US Constitution and Bill of Rights are once again forced into determining all laws and policies in America.

Then in their ever desperate scramble to divert attention from the crimes of their communist leaders, the Saul Alinsky “Rules for Radicals” leftwing media and terminally liberal democrats circled their battlewagons of deceit and hate and unleashed their tsunami of lies about me and everything I said.

To me, my family and thinking America, the dysfunctional leftwing hate hysteria was laughable. I became the #1 global tweet entity of the bogus blogosphere, while every newspaper and America hating television and radio gang literally tripped over themselves in a feeble attempt to out-lie each other.

I personally have never been prouder. If my daily activities and simple statements of truth and logic can cause such bizarre over-reaction by so many, I need no more evidence that I am on the right track. When doing God’s work, the devils go bonzo. So be it.

I stand by my statements. The line is drawn in the American sand. I stand with patriots who love this country and wake up early every day to put our hearts and souls into being an asset for America, our fellow Americans, people of the world and the good earth.

Those who despise me blindly chant Mao Tse Tung and Che’ Guevara rants, and the difference between our good and their bad is glaring.

Choose your side carefully America. The shining city on the hill is under attack from within.

Eugene Robinson in the Washington Post:

Nugent seems to be motivated by paranoia; West, perhaps by cynical calculation. It would be satisfying to withhold the attention they seek, but this is not an option. The only effective way to deal with bullies is to confront them.

Nugent, who delivered his foaming-at-the-mouth peroration at a National Rifle Association convention, earned a visit from the Secret Service with his promise that “if Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.”

That might or might not constitute an actual threat to the president of the United States. More chilling, to me, was the way his audience of gun enthusiasts applauded in agreement as Nugent compared the Obama administration to a bunch of “coyotes in your living room” who deserve to be shot. Nugent ended by exhorting his listeners: “We are Braveheart. We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Am I — any questions?”

No, I think he made himself quite clear.

Violent metaphors aside, the nub of Nugent’s argument — and I use the word advisedly — was this: “If you can’t go home and get everybody in your lives to clean house in this vile, evil, America-hating administration, I don’t even know what you’re made of.”

Vile? Evil? America-hating? Nugent doesn’t just characterize those with different political views as misguided or wrong. He seeks to paint them as alien and anti-American — as enemies of this nation, rather than citizens with whom he disagrees. In a subsequent interview, Nugent called Nancy Pelosi a “sub-human scoundrel” and referred to liberals as cockroaches to “stomp” in November.

This is what distinguishes the flame-throwers of the far right from those of the far left. Nugent and his ilk seek to deny their political opponents the very right to believe in a different philosophy. Agree with me, he says, or be stomped.

I was just reminded of the quote uttered by the Dixie Chicks that led to their getting death threats, having concerts cancelled, and being called “traitors” in ’03.

“We do not want this war, this violence, and are ashamed that the President of The United States is from Texas.”

But we’re told to look the other way and laugh it off when Nugent suggests that he intends to kill our President.

    How’s that for hypocrisy?

    Ted Nugent @TedNugent
“Goodluk America u just voted for economic & spiritual suicide. Soulless fools”

    Background:

In April, while speaking at a National Rifle Association convention, Nugent said there are two alternatives for him if the “vile,” “evil” and “America-hating” Obama beat Romney. “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year,” said Nugent, who has also defended Romney’s “47 percent” comment.

Four years earlier, he threatened both Obama and 2008 competitor, Hillary Clinton.

While dressed in camouflage hunting gear and wielding two machine guns during a 2007 concert, Nugent raged: “Obama, he’s a piece of sh-t. I told him to suck on my machine gun.” Continuing, “Hey Hillary. You might want to ride one of these into the sunset, you worthless b-tch.”
