Old lady Clementine

Tonight, after dinner, Clementine emptied out her jacket pockets to show us what she carried around with her, “in case of emergency.”

I’m not sure how far she’ll get on 21-cents, when the shit hist the fan, but I like knowing that she’s already thinking about the end times… And, what kind of seven year-old carries around Coffee-mate with them, anyway?

I find it kind of sad. She needs to come to grandma’s house!

I think it’s likely that most of these things were stolen from your house.

Love this. Someday tell Clementine that our suitemate borrowed her moms car once, it broke down, and in the glove compartment was one item: a lime. In case of an emergency.

I wonder how she became so quirky? It is pretty clear to me that she is crying out for a visit to grandma.

I suspect grandma’s place is full of quirk. She is, after all, the woman that raised Mark.

I like the challenge of never being prepared. It keeps me sharp.

I have a paperclip I could donate to that kit. Paperclips are essential.

The stuff she hordes does not seem to be for her, so she is probably not just a pack rat. She is probably an EMT in the making. She will save somebody’s life someday.

You should make this a special feature, checking her pockets once a year and reporting the results back to us. It would be interesting to watch her interests evolve.

Next year, I’m guessing, she’ll have some kind of denture cream.

She’s just a preparedness genius – she could use that coffee-mate to make a zombie killing flamethrower: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRw4ZRqmxOc
