I thought that this video that my friend Andy turned me on to a little while ago might be a good way to start off the week in which millions of Americans are going to transfer their money out of big banks, and move it to local credit unions. Enjoy.

I like his idea of mailing roofing shingles to them. I suspect, however, that the bank could turn around and prosecute, saying that tar, or some other component of the shingle, is a hazardous substance, the same way that cops in Oakland were claiming that the paint thrown at them was a “toxic” substance. If there’s an opportunity for them to prosecute you as a terrorist, they’ll take it, and there may be new laws no the books (since the anthrax scare of 2001) that make it easier for them to do that. So, you might want to stick with wooden shims. I know I’m being paranoid, but sometimes it’s better to be cautious.
What would happen if you poured wet cement into an envelope? Would the envelope just fall apart, or would it stay together until until the cement dried?

What’s your point exactly, Taters? Are you suggesting that the homeless shouldn’t enjoy the same rights as the rest of us? Shouldn’t they be able to express their dissatisfaction with the way things are run? Or do you feel as though free speech should only extent to those of us who have jobs?
Mark, thanks for posting this. I saw it a couple of days ago and by God, yesterday, I got three solicitations in the mail. Sent them all back full of paper, a note, and overweight. I will continue this as long as these bastards continue screwing us all over.
