A little while ago, someone in the comments section suggested that I watch Rachel Maddow’s interview with former U.S. President Jimmy Carter. I’m watching it now, and finding it incredibly interesting.

    Jimmy Carter was the last American President to treat the American people like adults, and we booted him out as a result of it. We wanted someone like Reagan to tell us how great we were instead.
