He’s no Jerry Vale, but I have a new hero… Deacon Dark

Just when I’d given up hope in mankind, I find something that not only restores it, but makes me think that better days might be ahead… I know this footage is over 30 years old now, but I challenge you to watch it and not feel good about America. The kind of country that gave birth to Deacon Dark cannot fail.

It’s like acting wasn’t even a consideration back then.

I agree that Deacon Dark was something special. It’s too bad that he ended up selling out.

Here’s his follow-up song, “Now that I Found Sarah.”

Congressman Bono could have been so incredible. What a wasted opportunity.

I like that that you can laugh. You know who can’t laugh? The bastard child of Deacon Dark who grew up on an island without a father. I know that no one wants to hear it, but Deacon Dark fucked natives!
