“But, the socialist media are MAKING her eyes look crazy!”

Apparently, conservatives, especially those who find themselves doing things like screaming in support of America’s credit downgrade at Tea Party rallies, are incensed that Newsweek chose to run a cover image this week which makes Presidential contender Michele Bachmann look crazy. I personally don’t see it. It’s one thing to have an issue with the “Queen of Rage” headline, which I could kind of understand, but I think it’s quite another to suggest that camera tricks were somehow used to make her appear less than sane. It is, after all, her face, right? Anyway, here, to give you a flavor for the commentary shaping up on-line, is a quote from conservative revisionist and shit-spinning pseudo-columnist Michelle Malkin.

…You’ve resorted to recycling bottom-of-the-barrel moonbat photo cliches about conservative female public figures and their enraged “crazy eyes?” Really?

Who’s in charge of Newsweek cover graphics now — a Media Matters Soros Monkey? A random Daily Kos commenter? Keith Olbermann’s intern’s intern?

It’s like if someone were to take a picture of Hitler doing something fucked up and evil, and then someone like Goebbels came along and said, “Well, that’s a cliche” – like, if the photographer were really doing his or her job, they’d keep trying new shots until they got something approximating normalcy, in the spirit of being “fair and balanced.”

I could see it when Time magazine came under attack for doctoring that cover shot of OJ in 1994, making him appear significantly darker than he actually was (and thus more sinister according to the unwritten language of race in America), but, in this case, I’m not sure that I see the logic. Are they suggesting that Bachmann’s eyes have somehow been doctored to make them appear more crazy? Or, more likely, are the saying that, by not doctoring the photo to make her appear less crazy than she actually does, they’re essentially attacking her? As it’s really her face, it seems like a stretch to me, but I guess, if we’ve learned anything these past few weeks, it’s that Tea Partiers are hard to satisfy with facts, evidence and the like.

Speaking of which, did you read that Bachmann blames Obama for the credit downgrade we suffered at he hands of Standard and Poor’s? Here’s a clip from the New York Times.

…“It happened on your watch, Mr. President,” Michele Bachmann, the Minnesota representative and Tea Party caucus leader, said, drawing applause at an afternoon rally here. “You were AWOL. You were missing in action”….

In Congress earlier this week, she was among the House Republicans who voted against raising the debt ceiling and the budget compromise that was negotiated by Speaker John A. Boehner and Republican leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell…

“The responsibility is of those in Washington, D.C., who put the deal together,” Mrs. Bachmann said in a brief exchange with reporters. “But the real problem in all of this is that President Obama has failed to give leadership on this issue”…

You caught that part in the middle about her voting against raising the debt ceiling, even though she knew the consequences, right? But, I guess it was somehow still Obama’s fault for not offering the kind of leadership that works with people operating in non-reality-based planes as well as our own.

I know it’s asking a lot, but I’d really like it if someone at the White House just came out and said, “Yeah, she sure looks crazy in that photo. Then again, she sure looks crazy in a lot of photos. Did you ever stop and ask yourself why that probably is?” But, instead, we’ll play nice and talk about how she’s just a good person who wants the best for her country, like good Democrats do.

It’s commonly known that the lamestream media uses what are called “crazy” and “angry” filters when processing the photos of conservatives. It’s all a part of the conspiracy which has kept people like Bachmann from being elected and reaching positions of power.

The worst part, is that she will be our next President.

I think she looks crazy in just about every picture I’ve seen of her.

At least she found the camera this time.

It’s the photographer’s fault. He used a squeaky toy.

I don’t give a shit about her eyes. It’s what she says that concerns me.

Here’s what she had to say about the EPA.

    “I pledge to you I’m not a talker. I’m a doer,” she said …

“And I guarantee you the EPA (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency) will have doors locked and lights turned off and they will only be about conservation,” she said earlier today at a campaign stop in Cedar Rapids. “It will be a new day and a new sheriff in Washington, D.C.”

The EPA’s job, for those of you who don’t know, is protecting the quality of our air and water.

When she’s elected, we’ll have our first woman president AND our first gay First Spouse. It’s gonna be a great day for Amur’ca.

    It’s not #1.

Really, she would probably look less crazy if she didn’t wear as much make up.

Thanks, Someone. It’s great to have the other photos considered by Newsweek, which clearly show that, contrary to the popular belief held by the Teapartarians, she just looks that way on her own.

But that was different. One would only expect images of her to be unflattering due to her character. Hillary, after all, was a dyke with an anger problem. If you’ll recall, she actually killed a man in the White House.
