Just yesterday, we were talking here about a Fox News reporter who lied in his coverage of protests taking place in Madison, Wisconsin. As you’ll recall, he claimed to have been beaten, when video shot by one of the protesters clearly showed that he hadn’t been. Well, Fox responded today by showing real video of protesters engaged in actual instances of violence. Of course, the video they were showing, as Bill O’Reilly talked about the unruly mobs n Wisconsin, of angry protesters pushing people and screaming in their faces, wasn’t actually shot in Wisconsin. If you look in the background, you can see palm trees.

Why not show footage from the LA riots that happened after the Rodney King video became public? Or, better yet, how about images from the 1967 Detroit Riots?

This just strikes me as testing the limits of laziness and gullibility of the FOX regular viewer… I mean, honestly, of all the protest-like footage they have sitting around on their hard-drives, they can’t find anything without a handful of fucking palmtrees plainly visible in the background. Really? They aren’t even trying anymore.
