Watching Fox News personalities critiquing Jon Stewart and what’s-his-name

You might find this unbearable. If that’s the case, I’m sorry. I just love it, though. It’s so fun to watch them going on at length about how Stewart is tricking the American people into believing that he’s a real journalist. (The wildly spinning arm of the irony meter could power a small city.) Oh, and how funny is it when the woman pretends not to know the name of the event, calling it “the Insanity something-or-nother”? Oh, and how about that guy who said that there were, “more pockets of animosity” at the rally, than at any Tea Party event? At least they covered it, though. I wasn’t expecting that.

In somewhat related news, Fox just purchased the parent company that owns Reddit, the online community responsible for providing the impetus for the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear.

I saw this unfolding live. I was expecting for it to be worse. They took a few shots, like suggesting that most of the people were there for the bands, but for the most part they kept their noses clean. I know the bar is pretty low, but it’s one of the more fair and balanced reports I’ve seen them do.

I can hardly imagine the torture it would be to know any of these people personally. They should all get bonuses for having to work with each other.

Most of the Fox News talking heads, at least the female ones, are very attractive. The fact that this woman is not tells me that she’s pure evil. I don’t mean to say that ugly people are evil. I mean, as she’s grotesquely ugly, there must be another reason why they have her around. That’s where the pure evil comes into play.

One talking head on Fox said “It was all young people waking up at 11am, taking left over drugs from the night before, and heading down.”

This is Fox on good behavior. For a peak at what they look like when they aren’t being so fair and balanced, check out this footage of them misquoting Obama so as to imply, again, that his agenda is to take from the whites what is theirs and relegate them to the back of the bus for a while.

Are you on the michigan subreddit? It’s got some good conversations occasionally.

Oh, that IS funny. And actually a fairly long coverage of the event. I particularly liked them quoting Jon saying that racism is not the same as being a tea-bagger. When I heard Jon Stewart say that that, I just knew he put that in there so it would be covered by Fox News. Sure enough…
