As we discussed yesterday, the election, while certainly bad for the Democrats, doesn’t really indicate what could be considered a Republican mandate. But that fact doesn’t seem to stop politicians and pundits from making the claim. And it certainly doesn’t stop demagogues from taking credit. And that’s what we’re seeing right now.
Yesterday, in the wake of the Republican win, when everyone else in the country was reflecting on the results and what they meant, Sarah Palin unveiled a new, national ad campaign, in which she essentially takes ownership of the victories, as though they happened because of a revolution that she’d set in motion — this, in spite of the fact that the candidates she invested the most in, lost horribly. Among those candidates with the Palin Seal of Approval were; Sharron Angle in Nevada, Christine O’Donnell in Delaware, Carly FIorina in California, Tom Tancredo in Colorado, and John Raese in West Virginia, all of whom lost miserably. And, let’s not forget that Palin’s biggest political rival in her home state of Alaska, Lisa Murkowski, just beat Palin pal Joe Miller by about 10-points, AS A WRITE-IN candidate for Senate. And yet Palin has the balls to come out and claim credit. You really have to respect her chutzpah… if nothing else.

It’s like a parody yet it’s all horribly real.
Palin’s balls are so massive as to block out the sun.

The only good thing about the resurgence of Palin is that it brought back the Tina Fey impression.

The only thing better would have been Palin, machine gun in hand, running down a smoke cover beach in a bikini, blowing away men int turbans. I guess we’ll have to wait until 2012 for that, though.
I was pleased to see that they located a non-white hand to thrust into the “we did it” circle of hands at the end. I just hope that it was connected to a living body.
I agree with her when she says “It is mourning in America”. She surely could not have meant “morning”.
The Alaska race isn’t over yet. Miller is alleging vote tampering.

My contacts are telling me of the possibility that maybe there could have been some funny business between the Alaskan Syndicate and their long time ties to the Murkowski family.
