Noted American academic Noam Chomsky was, a few days ago, denied entry into Israel due to his vociferous condemnation of the state’s actions. Here he is discussing his views with an Israeli reporter.

This is a great interview…thanks for sharing Mark….
I wish I could be that eloquent and precise in my use of language.
who the hell is going to take his place when he’s gone?
Thank you for posting this. I wish the reporter wasn’t there though.
Chomsky is one of a kind. Anyone who wants an alternative view on the middle east and domestic issues should listen to or watch Democracy Now (www.democracynow.org find it online or in iTunes). Chomsky is on often. I have so had it with Israel, and of course we’re going to pay the price for their insanity.
Always refreshing to hear an interview with Mr. Chomsky as he is calm and does not get flustered in the face of questions – some very good and some ridiculous. I particularly enjoyed his opinion of Alan Dershowitz (the Jesse Jackson / Al Sharpton of the Jews), which I share. There is blame to go around on both sides, but I believe the people in this area just want peace. Unfortunately nobody is stepping up to make this happen, which leads me to believe that the powers that be don’t want it to happen.
Has anyone seen polling information from Israel on what people in that country thought of the attack on the Turkish relief ship? Are people overwhelmingly in support of the attack?
