A fruitless mix of racism, conspiracy theories

On their website today, FOX News is asking what we Americans make of the Tea Party movement. Here are the results thus far:

Now let’s see if they report on the poll tomorrow morning, during FOX and Friends.

I like the tag-line, “Now with 70% fruitless racism.”

We of a certain underbelly of the internet site rigged a Fox News poll just last week. This is either our work or the work of another, but less awesome, internet legion site. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us.

    Also, the game.

We Ron Paul guys used to always vote in the Fox polls about who won the primary debates. They showed the results at first, then dismissed them as spamming and whatnot (which, unless they had some foolproof system to foil spamming, was in my opinion almost certainly true). But then some polls would get reset if Ron Paul got too far ahead, and somebody else would mysteriously get a lot of votes. Man, those were some good disillusioning, enlightening times.

…now they’re hijacking Ron Paul’s tea-parties with vacuous Sarah Palin and steering it with hypocritical neocon bullshit. Hahaha! Classic. I love politics.

So FOX gets Mark Maynard and hundreds of other left and right wing sites to put up links to this all important poll and drives 165,486 folks to their Web site overnight? (You really think FOX put the option of “fruitless racism” in to do anything more than sucker folks to the site?)

I bet the price tag for the banner ads that page just went through the roof. Easy money! (Or should I say “chump change”?)

Stop it, jerks! All I can think about now is Fruit Stripe Gum! I don’t think they even make it anymore…

    Fruitstripe gum @ http://www.oldtimecandy.com
I just went through a fruitstripe craving myself and some kind soul pointed me in their direction. I can’t afford it though.

Fruit Stripe is awesome for about 30 seconds. It’s the whippet of fruity retro chewing gums.

I’m pretty sure I bought some Fruit Stripe gum not too long ago at a Cracker Barrel.

And, yes, Crazy Fox. I was manipulated. I sent people over to the FOX News site, and now they’re all going to become loyal fans of the network based on that one poll. I’m sure my audience today is half of what it was yesterday.

Don’t get me wrong Mr. Mark. You’re not going to lose readers. It’s not that deep. You’re simply helping FOX sell ads. You are aware that ad prices are based on readers/viewers?
