Ok, I don’t know if this is exploitative :P but I would pay $20 to have a nice, simple, comfortable shirt that said “Are we going into the future right now?”

Do with that info what you will ;)

I was ready to have her tell me that she was from another planet. I just wasn’t ready for her to tell that she’s from every planet.

And some of the photos are older, but all the quotes were from this week.

When I asked her what she did this week, she only mentioned kindergarten and playing the piano. She didn’t tell me about the “other stuff”, but I’m not surprised.

I, too, covet the t-shirt… Thank you for sharing this, Mark. Very happy making.

I think you need a better hiding place for your drugs.

Glemps on Mich Ave next to Heikes can print anything on a t-shirt for you. Heikes can enbroider it.

You didn’t find her in a tiny space capsule, smoldering in a field, did you?

“I feel I came from every world.” That makes me smile. I think she is right–the fundamental interconnectedness of all things. Rock on Clementine.

A heads up. Your daughter is already laying the groundwork for a “not guilty by reason of insanity” defense.

You’re a terrible parent, Mark. You’re too empowering. You’re supposed to feel threatened by that kind of talk, and sqelch it fast. I fear it’s too late now. At least it is too late to stop that intelligence from continuing to grow. Your only option now is to try to mix her up emotionally enough so that the intelligence never goes to good use. Start making her listen to talk radio and taking her to rallies.

    re. Clementine’s “My eyes can see” . . .

In Judith Warner’s NYT‘s blog today (9/17/09, “All Too Human”), she quotes Persian poet Hafiz (from her yoga center’s newsletter): “Why not become the one who lives with a full moon in each eye/ that is always saying,/ with that sweet moon language,/ what every other eye in this world/ is dying to hear?”

Seems these eyes do contain full moons in each eye and sweet moon language.

Yes, here’s hoping your daughter grows up to be a Moonie.
