No offense to those of you our there who buy stupid shit for your dogs, but come on, now… I can accept the occasional sweater vest on a Yorkie, but there’s got to be a line somewhere. We can’t, as a civilization, have gotten to the point where there’s a canine facial industry. I refuse to accept that.
Linette and I once left our beloved Freeda at a kennel, where, for a fee, they’d show dog-themed movies to their “guests.” I remember standing there, as the person behind the counter held up a copy of Turner and Hooch, and suggested that we spend the additional $5, thinking that it was the most insane thing I’d ever heard. That was five years ago, though, and the world has apparently become a much stranger place… I suspect the canine bikini waxing offers aren’t too far off.

I have a pet chicken that I pay to have wrapped in warm seaweed once a month. I’m told it’s good for her feathers. I also have her beak polished with diamond dust every summer.

I work at Petco in the grooming salon. The blueberry facial is amazing for getting rid of those nasty tear stains a lot of dogs get – or even to whiten a dog’s whole coat. That’s actually the reason for me finding this site. I googled “Petco blueberry facial” (I forgot who makes it) – hoping I could find a website that sells it. My sister moved to an area far from any Petco stores and she wanted to know how she could get some.
Sooo, it’s not quite as ridiculous as playing dog themed movies for a five dollar fee. Although, we do put bows and paint dogs’ nails and spray pretty smelling stuff on them sometimes! It’s all in good fun the way I see it.

“facial” is just a name they give it you idiots! Incase youre dumb enough to not realize, 95% of the WHITE dog population suffers from tear staining, and this “facial” helps remove some of that staining from eyes and beard. It helps keep the dog white and clean. THINK before you talk. Its just a fancy name.
Im a groomer and for all non groomer ppl this product does work. Just because its called a facial you down it. It removes tear stains and aweful smells on the pets face. Im sure you wouldn’t mind having it used on your pet if it was called something else other than a facial.People who arent groomers are just idiots when it comes to there pets. Think before you speak.
I took my dog to Petco to have it killed. They thought that I was kidding.
Go to South Bark Dog Wash….I hear it is tremendous stuff. My sister rescues small dogs and she says this stuff is da bomb, if you have a lil dog with a stinky tear stained face. You can bet – I am going to try it.
Hi there, just wanted to chime in about the blueberry facial (even though i know this is a super old post!). As a few other people have noted, this really isn’t a luxury thing per se. I have a dog who has the most terrible eye issues and his face smells SO bad. This blueberry “facial” shampoo is the only thing that can cut through the stench. If you’ve never had a dog with a horrible smelly face then count yourself extremely lucky!

I am a professional pet sitter and was a groomer. The blueberry facial is awesome because it is gentle around the eyes ears and mouth and removes stains from the face. A lot of dogs get a smelly face from food, bones playing etc. The extra services are worth it.
I just got my dogs groomed at a new groomer and she used the BlueBerry Facial on my dogs. It smells soooooooo good! Not really like food, but fresh smelling. Plus, it made their fur so soft and clean! It is fantastic. There is nothing “weird” or dumb about a facial for a dog.

For the same reason that humans get facials, dogs can now get them. It helps clean and exfoliate the skin, which in turn sloughs off dead skin cells that are unnecessarily sticking to your pet’s face. Dead skin cells carry bacteria. Bacteria on skin stinks! It also causes pustules to form on the skin if it is not removed or if the dead skin cells are not sloughed off , they can clog the skin pores (yes dogs have pores!!). Clogged pores love to hold onto bacteria.
So a dog facial is not a stupid thing. It is a great idea!
My dogs smell amazing! When they cuddle up to my face, they do not stink at all. They are so lovable and huggable after their grooms with BlueBerry Facial. Some breeds, poodles, spaniels have weepy eyes and if not cleaned every day can get hard and difficult to remove.

This is the stupidest post I have seen. No different than a human getting spa upgrades from manicures to facials to hair masks. Get over it and stop down mouthing this. I take my dog to Petco and do the 3 upgrades to always include the blueberry facial. I highly recommend that too!
I always thought it was a silly idea but then my dog was sprayed by a skunk in the face and the blueberry facial was amazing at helping to remove the smell.
I am getting my dog groomed right now and the facial the people that are downing this product probably shouldn’t have dogs I’m sure you spend money on dumber impulse buys why not treat your pet like a human if you don’t have nice things to say don’t say anything sometimes keeping an opinion to yourself is better off
Because actually researching a product apparently takes more intelligence then basic common sense: “Blueberry Facial” is the product name. It is one of the few soaps that can be used on the face of a dog and not cause eye irritation like those used on the body, absolutely mindblowing. Now let’s really step it up a notch, it is also a blue color which means it counteracts the orange and red staining under the eyes commonly known as “Tear Stains.”
