I finally got to use the “celebrity arson” tag!

    I’ve never seen Firestarter.

Now that I know both Art Carney and Heather Locklear are in it, though, that’s going to change.

I wonder if I can post 100 things here before someone interrupts.

    So far, so good.

Speaking of Drew, this weekend there’s going to be an advance showing of “Whip It” at the Showcase on Carpenter.

Oh, and she was here in the area a week or so ago, talking to University of Michigan students about the movie, and what is was like shooting here. Speaking of which, I’ve got something new in the Pencil Paparazzi file that I need to print.

    ET was about an alien.

OK, I’m really starting to run out of ideas.

Oh, speaking of the Michigan incentives for the film industry, did I hear somewhere that they were being repealed, or significantly scaled back? I seem to recall hearing some mention of it, and making a note to myself to follow up later, which I never did.

If the back of my hand itches, does it mean I’m about to lose money?

Drew Barrymore couldn’t bring a lawsuit against me for this, could she?

Suggesting that someone caused a fire with her mind isn’t libel, is it?

I was going to also put up an image of the poster that I made a year or so ago, warning people of the danger of having Barrymore here, living among us. I couldn’t find one, though. I thought that I’d posted about it here on the site, but I guess I didn’t.

OK, I’m thinking of signing up under a fake name and leaving a comment. I don’t think I’ve got another 87 comments left in me. And I want to go to bed.

Why are the times on your comments an hour behind? Have you moved to the Central Time Zone, or is Drew Barrymore doing it?

  15. Posted September 23, 2009 at 8:38 pm | Permalink

Damn, you, Ken… You’ve interrupted me and ruined my brilliant plan!

If only there were a way for me to travel back in time and defeat you.

  16. Posted September 23, 2009 at 8:39 pm | Permalink

    Hmmmm….. All I need is an hour….

  17. Posted September 23, 2009 at 8:39 pm | Permalink

Wait, somehow I’ve brought you back in time with me, Ken.

  18. Posted September 23, 2009 at 8:40 pm | Permalink

    Damn you TO HELL!

  19. Posted September 23, 2009 at 8:54 pm | Permalink

Okay. Fine. I don’t know what to say, but I’m saying something!

    Love this picture, too cool.
I loved the book, movie was pretty good for a early 80’s special effects flick.

Mark, Ken . . . Could announce the rescheduled CoPAC Picnic: this Sunday, 1-4 p.m. at Riverside Park. A more low-key version than what we were cooking up for early August but a happy mix of friendly neighbors, food, and fun nonetheless. Wanna ask Drew B. to come to the picnic? She could bring cookies or whatever she wants to bring.

(Which hand itches? What I’ve heard is left means you’ll find money; right, you might temporarily misplace a little money but will find it and be surprised.)

I heard it has to be your palm that itches and that you have to scratch it with wood to make the money flow in.

Since I am back in time, I am going to bill a client for an extra hour and blame it on Drew Barrymore.

Drew and I are getting married. Don’t tell anyone, it’s a private affair.

I wish I could time travel back to a proper bed time.

Guess I’ll just stay up and keep an eye out for DB…

    Drew Barrymore must be stopped!

  27. Posted September 24, 2009 at 9:05 am | Permalink

Yes, Mark. Suggesting someone is a criminal if they have not been convicted of it, is good grounds for a libel case. However, because Drew Barrymore is a celebrity, she would have a hard time winning the case in court.

I just saw Drew, she said she would, like, totally come to the CoPAC picnic and that she will be bringing Reese’s Pieces.

I think there’s a scene in Charlie’s Angels (the movie) that’s pretty similar. She’s walking up to a building and it explodes. Someone should get a screen capture of that.

I think we should blame Drew Barrymore for everything that goes wrong in the city from now on.

Let’s all of us start using the phrase, “Barrymore’s curse.”

Let’s rename the Waterstreet project Barrymore’s Folly.

    Come on, people!
